56 Down - Thangool Cattle

Hello Everyone,

Just trying out my updated and upgraded 1720; so recreated a once regular occurrence on the Dawson & Callide Valley Branches - Cattle Trains.

Acceding the Razorback Range - 1720, with 11 KL Wagons and a TDV van slogs up the grades towards Moongan

Don't get to do much on this route, but when I do it's laying track, rulers and markers, About 100 meters past Mile Post 64, just need to make a 60.96 meter timber faced platform and that'll be it for this little area.

Y Classes taking over the screenshots.... lets do it!

Here's what I have so far on 1890's North Geelong, note the single track to Melbourne but the double track to Ballarat, Geelong wasn't duplicated till late 1970's which is 100 years after the Ballarat line was built.

Y Class No. 385 in the platform.

Cheers.

Cheers Mick.

Nice Work Tom!
Is that Mick's Y Class with some modifications?

That'd be the one mate :) Mick's done an awesome job on it, I'm just helping finish it off by doing all the mods and different liveries, as well as proper detailed Y Class bogies. There's a few other things in the pipeline as well, here's another I've been working on...

A big thankyou to Matt for letting me doing mods to this one, will from the basis for the series 2/3 X's as well as XR/XRB's...including versions with the dunnies on the end!

Hi all,

Awesome screenshots everyone. I was going to ask in reply to Lesley, I was wondering where you got that modified Wadbalvale route or was that you that modified it? It's an awesome detailed or should I say refurbish of the old fictional route and was wondering what would be the chances of me getting a copy of it?

Cheers - Bal0019

Nice work Tom, you're really flying the flag for good quality 2nd (3rd?) generation Australian diesels lately.

BTW, does anyone know of a good Trainz sound for a 16-645 roots blown engine? Something that really accentuates that grunty bark sound that the turbo engines don't have.

Probably not, built-in routes are usually a no-go and Natvander has strict licenses on his stuff

Nice work Tom, look forward to seeing the variations of the X classes.
I have a few liveries for Micks Y. A bhp steel scheme which was almost complete.

Keep up the good work

All I've done pretty much is change over the track to JointedRail stuff and put in some more high quality vegetation. Nothing too it, just a simple 5min job that anyone can do and makes a big difference. Definitely can't redistribute it however.

Thanks mate :) As for the 645 question, head over to JointedRail and into the dependencies section (you'll have to sign up first), they have an awesome roots blown 16-645 thats perfect for X's and 422's.

Thanks David! Working on a BHP specific Y actually which would suit your skin! Will having the flashing beacon lights and the fire extinguisher on the front :)
