I'd speculate its an EPA thing, to try and cut back on the emissions and so-on (as the alco's, etc, were notorious for awesome smoke emissions - and that was just running normally!), I'd suspect it'd be some sort of exhaust scrubbers to try and cut back on the particulates and other 'noxious' emissions - once again, I'm speculating

The scrubbers were known for being absolutely useless. It didn't get hot enough to do its job. At idle, the catalytic converter got covered in soot thus when the engine begins to run faster, the reaction to burn off excess fuel does not occur. They were originally designed so that the 48s could be used in the underground on trains in Sydney, but train crews often got sick because the damn scrubbers didn't work.

All it needed was some kind of element to heat it up so it'd work LOL. So thus, it didn't cut down the emissions from the smoke-belching ALCos.

You'll need to grab the wagon, couple to the loco, then issue the command then move the wagon back to where you had it.

Hi I downloader some loco's by NSWGR_46class which have auto running numbers but when I place them of the track no running numbers are assigned. Can someone tell my why this is.

because the auto script is broken in TS12 you can still set the loco number manually

Probably not right now steam.. It's not actually broke and it doesn't need fixing. Just use the ? Button and assign your own number...
