Hi everyone,

As usual I've been lurking in the shadows but still love seeing all the great work being shown here!

Tom - Great work on the L's and the PN steel wagons there mate, really looking forward to these ones!

Anyway heres a bit of a sneak peak of what is new grounds for me as a content creator - building locomotives! (still very early days )

Anyone guess what it may be?

Would you credit it got the plan for the very same beast on my desk as I type this
That would be the GL a rebuild of the NSWGR 442 class for CFCLA.

Can I be so bold to suggest that you split the sides just behind the cab door so you only have to do one cab and then clone the whole cab for the other end ie its got two cab ends then two side walls between.

Spot on there! Did you and Pete have any plans on modelling one already?

Regarding the cab thats exactly what I'm planning to do, just haven't got to that stage yet :)!

Hello,

From myself, animated engine with belt pulley attached to the main Fairmont section car bogie.

Hi Michael,

According to my information, knowledge and even my very own fairmont, the right had side is the one with the pulley. The pulley would then attach to a gear box that would sit on the bogie ( not in mid flight ). Also, is the engine from real measurements as it appears that it looks a lot longer then what they are in real life. Remember the water hopper and condenser to.

A10 To Beenleigh

Hello Everyone, from Wallangarra - at the most Southerly end of the Queensland Railways network.

Just a few from myself, as I improve my South Coast Railway and finally test my completed QR NG A10 #6 in 1965 Centenary Colours. Have added new period level crossing signs of mine and custom level crossings to suit. Currently when I am not studying my Bachelor Of Medicine or working, I hope to complete Old Beenleigh, Oremeu, Coomera, Oxenford, Ernest Junction, Southport, Nerang and other stations; but I will take my time. :)

The following screenshots date from 30th April, 1967, when #6 was undergoing testing after previous week in the workshops at Mayne after running two hot axel boxes. I have spoken to two retired old locomotive drivers and fitter from the era, which confirms that on that day; A10 #6 ran light engine from Wooloongabba to Beenleigh, and return (after spending the night at the Gabba); with making adequate watering stops along the way. This was in preparation for her trip to Toowoomba on the 1st of May 1967; which marked 100 years of the completion of the railway link to the town in 1867.
