Australian screenshots

Not a big issue, as the route still looks great (maybe Scratchy did that because the only dual gauge track available in Trainz is four-rail 'gauntlet' track, instead of the three-rail track used in WA such as through the Avon Valley). Regardless, his route is excellent - it's great to see some WA themed routes on here now. :)

Nothing wrong with the Route, looks great so far!
Will have to get back into my Geraldton-Mullewa Route and post some screenshots! The track has been layed and scenery has started to be placed in various spots. Long way to go yet. It is NG, but need to look for NG Concrete sleepers, anyone know of some good ones?

Cheers
David

Indeed - it really looks like the Avon Valley, he's really captured the appearance and feel of the Toodyay/Northam area extremely well. :D

As for track, there's a few concrete sleepered ones I've been using on the DLS - I'll load up CMP and do a search for the KUIDs for you David. :)

EDIT: As a start:

42' track clean (2m, 4m, 8m), by comtrain - KUID numbers kuid2:1854:15038:1, kuid2:1854:15030:1 and kuid2:1854:15044:1 - I think this might be on VicTrainz but I'm sure I've seen on it on the DLS.
QR track 09 suburban by alby6 - KUID number kuid2:72882:1086:2 - this one is similar in texture to his 'QR Dual Gauge track' spline

There's one other track spline I know of which looks like concrete sleepers (I think it's called 'NZR 42' tunnel track) but I can't remember exactly and hence can't find it's KUID. But it's on the Trainzone website as part of the NZ Track Pack as I recall.

Thanks for all the comments guys, yeah we definitely need more WA! Toodyay's only 30min drive from my house and this is really a route ive wanted to do for a while. The duel gauge track is tricky to find, ive not got anything im happy with yet, might see if Justin is willing to modify his when i get a bit more done. If I ever got Northam to Midland into trainz i think it would be great route! more pics soon

Thanks for that, will take a look at those. Just have to fix the DFZ's and get them back working after the patch broke them ;)

A pair of DD's sit at Lilydale awaiting departure.

DD 582, in the recently introduced black livery, works past the distant signal with an evening passenger service.

DD560, still wearing the old 'Canadian Red' colours, sits in the fading light as it prepares for departure.

Shortly after departure, DD560 works past the home signal with the freight. Due to the weight of the train, a banker has attached to the rear to help the train to the top of Cave Hill

Good afternoon to everyone.

It has been a long while since I have posted, been mostly on the British fourms.

Now to answer some few questions;

@Chuffbuff
; thank you for your comments, and explain what you mean by the term: seedless version? as I have not heard that term used before and I am just interested in knowing the backgrounding behind that comment. Your welcome to PM me about it. Dr G. Cash was telling me about your request for you A12 at the Brisbane Model Train Show, he showed me a few working meshes of it. I have downloaded it and its a great model. :)

@DFord, ahh yes 1181! I know her pretty well back to the days when RAILCO were running the two railways and it actually ran for once. The atherton section is allegedly been taken over by a group called; "The Atherton Railway"; the rumour in the Raveshoe Railway is that is headed by a headless chock type of one person who wanted to get the railway going again. He has alot of work cut out for him. Your welcome to email or pm me and we can discuss further about it. :)

Now, as I would like to say; if anyone wishes to ask for a series of mature clarrification regarding what has been discussed on the fourms, your welcome to talk to me directly via my email or pm. Otherwise, lets just get on with a screenshot to set the mood. :)

Hi All,
Was standing on 1181 on Wednesday pretty bad shape now.
The 1181 never ran on the line when Railco owned it, it was dropped off at Platypus station Atherton and towed up the hill to Herberton by the C17 when it was running. Railco did get 1181 started and ran it around the yard for about an hour that's all. Unfortunely it has not been started since.

The group is now called "Atherton Herberton Historic Railway Inc", This group has been slowly working on the line for some time now.
They have replaced sleepers and re-spiked the 2km between Herberton and Herberton Historic village.
The group are planing on running old QR section cars with some home made passenger carriages to start with.
The section cars should be running in 4 to 6 weeks with paying passengers.
Not bad for "a headless chock type of one person who wanted to get the railway going again" looks like he did it.

Your welcome to email or pm me and we can discuss further about it or you could keep posting false information on an open forum.

If any one would like information on this group and what they are doing and there plans for the future please contact me. If I don't know I will fine out from the group and post the facts only.

David Ford.
