Australian screenshots

Also, you seem to start things and then scrap them, just keep going through with your projects. That is the only way to learn and improve.

If you are talking to me colhad, the reason I am scrapping my QR Beaudesert Branch Line is because I am joining it with Trainz89's SCL and it may not be compatible with it so I have asked jerker for a DEM Map on the Beaudesert Branch so it is compatible with the SCL.

Ok guys, time to get back on topic...

We don't mind a small amount of prototype discussion, or the odd discussion of assets being shown in screenshots (e.g. asking where to find a particular item in a screenshot). However, this is a screenshots thread, and we would ask that the majority of posts be screenshots.

If you are posting regarding a project that you are working on, then please posts screenshots. Any progress updates on a project that don't include screenshots may be removed. If this continues, then we may have to take further action... Same goes for any other off-topic discussions, except those outlined above.

Regards

2 48's pause at Dunere with a loaded grain to check the sand boxes before they tackle the steep grade out of Dunere loop.

Hi Mick, FYI, these CSR locomotives AFAIK never made it yet outside the Pt.Pirie/Gladstone/Pt.Augusta line in SA as they usually cruise east/west via Perth/Pt.Augusta/Adelaide/Ballarat/Melbourne and also North past Pt.Augusta to Calm Hill Mine near Coober Pedy down to Pt.Adelaide to Outer Harbor for IMX Resources on a mineral/ore run. Eventually, if not doing so already, to haul iron ore from Calm Hill Mine, Coober Pedy to Darwin too. Any east west SCT train going from Perth via Pt Augusta/Broken Hill to Sydney and return usually has 2 SCT Class locomotives with the odd G Class locomotive hooked on too.

I have never seen a CSR Class going through Peterborough yet, my backyard adjoins the rail tracks, which are presently out of service as there was a rail mishap near Yunta towards Broken Hill some 2 days ago, which is blocking presently the tracks. I believe some 20+ rolling stock jumped the tracks and ripped up some 300 m of tracks due to the heat of near 50 C we had a couple of days ago in that area. Lucky for the Indian Pacific, it made it through just an hour before that accident past Yunta going towards Pt.Augusta on Thursday.

A little present history around my neck of the woods.

VB yeah if you download Axe's Route you would see he has used quite a few real place name's as locations mate thats all i wasn't trying to be proto or anything here. The wagon's behind your locos are the PN RRLX that carry the ore Container's that i am trying to get made. If you check out Railpage you will see a couple of pics of the mishap you mention over your way looks like it will take a bit of cleaning up but no one was injured so thats the main thing i spose.
Cheers Mick.

Well it's alright and you are forgiven. I haven't posted some for a week and probably won't post one to soon either. I have been beta testing some of trainz89's new content and have been texturing his route. I took a few shot's yesterday and some of his new content and the SCL are definatly worth downloading. I have also been changing some of the whistle sounds on some of my loco's

Hi Mick,

I have never seen a CSR Class going through Peterborough yet.......

Hi VinnyBarb,

As Mick said, I have just used real Australian names on my route. Nothing is actually prototypical. I was just trying to go for the "Aussie feel". Often I have combined names of my friends and family too, to create a place on the route. Even though Peterborough is an actual place I named it after my brother Peter.
