Sheep Wagon

Hello Everyone,

Just an would like to show off to everyone of an old slide of a QR N Bogie Sheep Wagon. I hope you like it, as I have been working on building and finishing off all my goods wagon projects and then finishing off some select carriages. :)

This Wagon was pretty good for 3 hours effort to finish.

Thanks for your help Hayden, much appreciated :) I am glad to hear that it is being built, it will be great once finished as it can be added to Gohstryder's layout and then you will have what was once a lively SEQ rail network :)

p.s How is the 1200 class coming along down there at Swanbank? The last time i checked it was getting its exhausts drained and some cab work had commenced :)

No worries :-)

Best to ask the boys at the Qld Diesel Restoration Group, as it is actually their loco and not owned by QPSR:-

http://www.qdrg.net/

They are after new volunteers to help with the restoration of both 1225 and 1707D, if you're interested in lending a hand whenever possible flick them an email using the contact link on their site.

Hayden

Hey guys i was wondering if any of you knew of people that have schematics/rail plans of the QR Fassifern Branch (also known as the Boonah/Mt Edwards Branch) ? I have a interest and mild fascination with the branchline and it would be a great route as it spurs off the mainline at Ipswich.

If i remember correctly, LittleBondi gave thanks to Petan for giving him the track plans or what not for his route which was the Logan Village route or something or other.

Thanks, Pat.

G, day all,

@Dieselpatt, If you ask Petan he may have the plans for the Fassifern Valley Line. Petan gave me track diagrams of the Beaudesert Branch Line which Map 1 should be out by June this year.
@Trainz89 beautiful sheep wagons there. Looking forward to the new releases, they would do quit nicely in the Bondonga Workshop's carriage shed. The reason I say this is that I have founded Bondonga Workshops and today have made a workshop for it and will post a few screenshot's of it soon. Also Michael, Have you had a chance to get the Beaudesert Rail C17 #967 up on DLS yet?. let me know when it is up on DLS.

-Cheers

Pat

Certainly give Petan ago as he has a lot of historical document's. the track diagrams I received were from 1961. they had signals and buildings that were there at that time.

G, Day all,

2 days ago I decided to make my own business like QDR and Cowra loco and cardiff workshops. So I came up with a name and have established " Bondonga Workshops ". Today after seing a post of some of dreddman's PB15's it had, straight from dreddman's workshop so I decided to make The Bondonga Workshops. So here it is so far The Bondonga Workshops.

The Carriage shed's up the front is were the QR rolling stock is stored and the ones behind is were the NSW rolling stock is stored. to the left of the QR shed's is 4 grey shed's which are the loco shed's.

There will be more shot's soon and I will get back to the Beaudesert Branch soon to after having a week of.

-Cheers

I only visit here occasionally these days so I do not see many posts and perhaps may not respond to personal messages in the same way I used to. People who are on Railpage forums may have noticed my extensive Tweed Heads Coolangatta railway era research. Jerker has done a wonderful Trainz DEM map for that.

People seeking track plans etc may like to do what I did last week and use the QLD state Archives at Runcorn. I actually saw the original plans and letters etc for the QR South Coast Line [SCL] to Tweed Heads. Bit like the treasures in Aladdins Cave and the Holy Grail combined!! The QSA prices for their staff copying and postage of material on a CD were quite reasonable; postage on a CD up to 100 pages $3.10, copy scan over A3 size $5.70 and copy greyscale was $1.50. No public photocopiers there but they allowed camera phones and showed us how to manage that with special pillows to support the items.

The QLD State Library at SouthBank is another Aladdins Cave and the Holy Grail combined, as are the Australian Railway Historical Society’s [ARHS] monthly Bulletin magazine. They have most of the earlier ones available on DVDs at http://www.arhsnsw.com.au/bnbi00.htm
There is a search function up to 2005 at http://www.nswrail.net/search/bulletin.php The ARHS Bulletin is now called “Australian Railway History” and sold at newsagents.

What's Bondonga going to release.

We are planning to bring out a lot of QR and maybe even NSWGR content. At the moment we are working on the QR Beaudesert Branch Line which will hopefully be out by June this year. We are also planning to make the Goondoowindi Branch Line. In the future we are planning to build loco's and rollingstock but will need someone who can make them to join Bondonga Workshops. If we do build rollingstock and loco's we are planning to build.

-C17 #967 (Blue)
-C17 #971 (SDSR)
-QR CSV coach
-QR FBS coach
-QR SEK coach

We are planning more but this is the list so far.

-Cheers

Yeah using GMAX is a bit tricky for newbies, like myself. I still haven't fully grasped most of the operating procedures, is there anyone out there that could give tutorials of making rollingstock and loco's for people like LittleBondi and myself?

It would be great :)

Cheers, Pat

Yeah I agree it would be great if one of you trainzers out there made a tutorial on making loco's and rollingstock on gmax or blender. I am not new to trainz, I have had it since 2011 but I am new to building and re - skinning items.

-cheers

Yeah i googled it and found out how to me a loco. So i think i might give it a go after some more reading, looks technical and alot of work.

Might create a proper 1700 Class DEL, the class without the airconditioning box on the front of the cab.

cheers,
Pat

Just to get you started and heading in the right direction :- http://www.worldoftrainz.com/Pages/Tutorials_TRS2006/GmaxLocomotiveTutTRS.htm is a good tutorial to help you learn Gmax. But like others have said Google Trainz Gamx Tutorial and you will be amazed how much is out there.

I myself like Blender, but after getting a copy of 3dsmax from a family member (Love having a designer in the family = great freebies) I have fell inlove with 3dsmax.

Good luck with the Gmax/Blender modelling, I find it a rewarding pastime making bits and pieces for a route etc.

Edit: My route is on hold again (just for abit) as I face some surgery in Feb 2013 and will be back at it once that is out of the way. Life is a pain at times to get in the way of my Trainz fun.

Cheers

Trent
