Well, I just bought the $25 V Set back, so I guess you know what's coming haha
Firstly, I've got to say they are absolutely awesome.
I've got two little issues though, firstly a cosmetic one,
I'm not sure if its meant to be like this or not, but my marigold motors have the yellow front which looks great (below right),
however for some reason the driving trailers just have a plain grey front without the yellow (below left).
Is this intentional, or something that got overlooked?
My other issue is that the V Sets feel a tad underpowered to me speed wise. I have a long straight set of track that I was testing them out on, however they seemed to kind of 'max out' around 121km/h. I understand that the 'top speed' (ie obeying the rules) they have been used at in service is 130 km/h,
however V sets have been recorded doing up to around 160km/h, such as the famous incident where an XPT was being used for publicity trips around Penrith, with the driver announcing when the train reached 160km/h, only to have an v set interurban come flying past and overtake them somewhere between penrith and blacktown.
These minor issues aside, they are still some amazing content. Davido has done a fantastic job.
Now for a few more screenshots of the interurbans in action (oh and sorry for the rather bland scenery, but I'm sure the V's make up for it):
