@Rastis, I am planning to begin building a SAR Y Class 1067mm locomotive which a few examples got sold onto the Silverton Tramway aswell as examples going onto Tasmania. I am getting help from a kinda source to teach me with the drivers, since I am inexperienced at the moment to make them myself.

I fully support this (especially as the SAR Y class were used here in WA as well, on the WAGR and on private timber lines as the G class - several ex-SAR Y class examples even saw use here in WA on private timber railways as well). As a Queensland fan at heart though Michael I think you'd be pleased to know that several Y class duplicates even saw service on the Chillagoe line near Cairns (according to the book 'WA Preserved Locomotives').

Anyway, good luck with the Y project - I think there would be a few people eagerly awaiting this (myself included).

That platform looks like one of Deadly's excellent NSW Cityrail platforms, several variations of which are easily found on the DLS (search the DLS under his username and you should find them easily - they're 04 content however so make sure '04' is ticked if you're using the DLS website instead of searching through CMP.

Them tracks dont look too close, not compared to the link i found. And rather amazingly this little Gem is not foreign in fact it is Australian and was once set up and located in Sydney.

Hi David,

Not sure, the only liveries that I know of are the "Intercity" livery, which is yellow and blue (where you have yellow in the shot above with blue all above that). The "Blue Goose" livery and the SRA "Candy" livery.

Edit: Just messaged a friend, now I know another, the "Golden Goose" livery, Cricketstar is right.

Possibly 'Citydecker'. I think this livery appeared when those refurbs were taking place. Also on the suburbans. Some sets had the thick blue band on the side and dot matrix indicators were fitted to the front.

Trainz89, I notice you are just like many of us in that we enjoy trains regardless of the gauge, location, paintwork or ownership.

While you are on holidays in Cairns, look for the old Cairns station and route south before the rebuild including the shopping center station and Portsmith marshalling yards. See if any rails left in roads or beside roads as there was a bit of running beside roads out of town southbound. A thread on "Wheels on Steel" or Railpage had the old track route and station details as probably would a thread here on the Cairns Trainz layout.

The route is fairly well done, covers a significant gap in Tasmanian roues, and the sessions that go with it are well done, making good use of HTML assets to keep the player informed of various tasks available.

Trent, the most recent release is for TS12, but the original, released last year was for TS2010. The release thread is here.

Decided to migrate the route to NSW; and bring it forward to the 80's, which won't take too much work. The route is already standard gauge, and uses Natvander's semaphore signals. I think the only major work will be lenghtening a few of the passing loops, and add a silo or two, to provide a little variety of traffic.

Anyway, a few screenies of quad 48's working an empty coal uphill towards Llewellyn:




And down the other side, bound for Cornwall Colliery:

AS you can see from the images I have merged the Northcoast NSW route into my NSW2ACR route.. providing the Author of the route does not mind when I release My NSW@ACR route I'll release a Merged VErsion as well.
I am planning on merging the Brisbane south Route...
