@Steve... magnificent screens!! How is it on framerate, if you don't mind me asking??
@Pete... thanks for yet more beautiful SAR motive power.
FR, this is also going to be a favourite of mine, not only for ideas, but for shunting
Jamie
Funny you say that about shunting. Whilst it's a terminus module, you can get quite immersed in it for shunting. I brought in the Daily Mixed from Quorn (No 257 for the astute!)... detached loco and water gin... took water at the north column... turned on the wye... shunted the passenger car/brake van (NYAB15) off to the side... set work on the inbound wagons, whilst sorting outbounds at the same time... shunted the NYAB back into the station... and finally assembled the outbound Mixed (No 280)... Just over an hour had elapsed and I didn't realise it. This is just for one train and I didn't touch the cattle sidings!!... so bringing in a second or third train could be fun. I then set out with No 280 to wrap up the session.
Mind you the above I tried to be "sort of proto"... ie allow fair time for watering, proto waits for changing points, and coupling/uncoupling, and that sort of stuff. In the real world some 3 hours seperated the arrival No 257 and depature of No 280, but would assume "crib" would be taken in here. So wasn't completely proto!!
Hello
Forest - i can remember from a while ago i think you started so i can't wait and also what pulled up sleepers are you useing?
These are called "Laying Ties" - there are three differing versions of them built-in to TS2010. The author is
Joram24. I've submerged them to "semi-below ground level" to provide that effect.
Hello
Forest - i can't wait and also sorry if i ask to much about what you use but what grass do you use?
I use a mixture of JVC grass splines (author
Jankvis) and Grasbueschel objects (author
Berliner478) - these too are built-in to TS2010. I don't use too many different splines though, as I put emphasis on frame rate performance. Both spline points and objects are height adjusted to below ground level to try for the outback look - I think it comes up alright.
