Going up the Ranges

G'day Everyone.

@Mark & Ron; I am indeed doing a DEM of Warwick-Wallangarra with the help of Scott {Ghosty} & a few others; all in 3ft 6in. So Mark I think getting Wallangarra in the correct details of the yards could not be a problem, your route could meet up on the NSWGR line just over the NSW border from Wallangarra/Jennings.

The route is 4 baseboards = 2 km with the standard 5 bases. Un-offically, this this could be the longest & biggest DEM Q.G.R route ever made in trainz. So any, person interested helping out to be a part of history in the making. Please drop me a email. :cool: . Also people with content creation skills are greatly needed becuase I will get busy due to back to school very soon.

Now some photograph's of my first 3ft 6in modular layout; Rosedale & A photo of my D17 which happens to be not working in trainz [in CDP is comes up with no visiable mesh!]...:( I really need this for my Brisbane Route;

Michael,

I am doing Glen-Innes - Wallangarra at present if that helps. I would love for someone to do Wallangarra yard at the correct height and direction to meet up with my Dem data...

Mark

hello
not that good at content creation and already back at (home) school
and i have decided i will do a small nsw south coast route i might get back to my pilbara route later which has 1 baseboard
bye

Mate, It not as hard

Overland,

Jusdt go over to 44090 Model's and pick up a tutorial, it pretty easy. I was the same way as you though a few years ago, but now I am making a little bit and my experience is getting better; I would not be making B15's, B13's & D17's back in 2007 when I joined. It not as duating as you think :p , just give it a go; trust me it is very fun. The results are very rewarding.

Cheers
Michael G

thanks for that michael
right now my interest in making a route has declined
so i might try that when i get gmax anyways where do you get it?
also on an unrelated topic did realise you are the only that calls me overland:)
bye

Still not happy with Kangaroo Creek, I could have done so much better, but I might put it aside and work on it later, try to clean it up a bit.

Yes,
I meant the original livery which is different. They were in this livery until the 1980's I am sure.....Mark

I think I made a typo :o , the original livery in the photo [Below] is that the one that we are both requesting? I would really love to have that behind a C17 class which were the staple engine but they did get supplumented by the AC16 engines in he late 50's & early 1960's on the Inlander.
Not sure what both members above mean; loco or rolling stock? Maybe I can suggest the discussion may center around the change of livery in about late 1960s early 1970s when the blue/white loco body stripes changed "slightly" but the big change was the tangerine [red/maroon] QR logo appearing on the side of locos and rollingstock. The 2100 class chop nose diesels appeared, with the new tangerine QR logo style livery, doing load trials in December 1970.

The tangerine QR logo on the blue/white style loco livery stayed until approx Easter 1992 when the "Bronco" colours arrived. I know the official term is the "Corporate" colours but many call it the Bronco colours after the footy team.

Another loco livery change was a few units with the 1788/1988 Bi-Centennial livery. The DH units had their own livery. "Queenslander" carriages had their own livery changes as well. Electric loco livery was different as well.

Maybe time for some one to do screen shots of different loco liveries eg the 1788/1988 Bi-Centennial livery as some states did this as well as the Melbourne Olympic livery. [Sorry if already mentioned!]

On another matter, maybe time a sepatate thread was started for the Toowoomba, Darling Downs, Granite Belt and Wallangarra regions?

Cheers

Pete, ah, funny joke, yes, I will 'hop to it' as soon as inhumanly possible, and fix up some things I wasn't happy with in the original, but try to stay true to said original, so nothing *too* dramatic in changes...

Someone say forest?

There seems to be some quirks with the DLS system at present, with uploaded content halting at 'being processed', so hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

Regards & K-Rudding Again

Hi Everyone

@Peter, I did do so, and no problems but the main issue is with the main body mesh entering trainz. Thanks So much for helping me out.

@Peter C, I think we were talking about the old "Lander {Carriage} liveries from the 1950's-early 1980's

@Overland, Gmax can be freely downloaded from Discreat website & google 44090 Digital Models. Have fun and just yell if you need any help.

@Bill, I read your wake up call, that has given me a a new direction and i am sorry if I has come that way; Your an icon for QLD trainz, and I admire you in awe. Sorry about that Mate! :( {I will try to do the things you have asked a little more better}

Great Work Everyone :D

trainz 89 did you by any chance export the shadow file into your main loco folder?

No Michael, I asked you if you exported the loco shadow file into your loco_body folder rather than the loco_shadow folder, because your previous screenie look awfully like a shadow file. BTW is your auto create in your config set to 1 ?

cheers
pete

michael, I dont know what you have done or are doing, but this is a screenie of your mesh exported to 04 using pevs graphical mesh viewer, so there is no config yet or anything. the export works fine.

send me your config

cheers

Peter, I have a urge to say, why didn't I think of that before. I though you just export your shadow file well to the shadow file. I did not to put he shadow file with the loco_body. I am a such a noob to all this and I did set my config to 1. BTW; Where can I please download Pev's Graphical Mesh Viewer?

@Mark N: I think you got it now :)

@Kane, Nice Shot; Steam & Night Lighting go well together.

Kindest Regards
