Australian screenshots

Hi all,

Ghosty, nice shots. However, both our (Pete & me) profile show us as being SOUTH of the border, so wouldn't a few shots from that area be more appropriate?:hehe::hehe:

I'd love to share a few shots of my own work from '09, however nothing doing for awhile, as i'm sloooowly patching up to the latest build and transferring content from '06. Otherwise, you'd see some brilliance such as has never been seen. Possibly. Well, OK, not really.:o But i shall have something to show soon.

Matt.

Well i could have but where would the fun be in that :D:hehe:, knowing how you love north of the border shots i thought they would be more fitting for the moment :hehe: :D. Besides some of Petes handywork is on display in those shots in the form of station buildings and signal box just to name a few. :hehe::D.

Kent, the more I see the BVL coming to life, the more I take my hat off to you. Both Dreddman and I had a go with it, but regrettably, with little trackwork information, gradients, etc etc etc, made what we thought was 'doable' into a 'where do I start'. Oh, as a side note, you'll probably want to create, or have made, the SN speed boards (and no, thats not a typo), the SN's were 'Speed Normal' for non QR informed people (albeit, I haven't seen one in many many years...)

*edit* Big applause for PGibbons as well, for his quality NSWGR routes coming out recently - promise to be most enjoyable, and also, encoragement award for Rastis, for his small, modular NSWGR routes (seems I've started something!) and having had the pleasure of looking over some of Rastis' stuff, I'm more and more impressed with each new small modular route he makes!

Cheers for that Ghosty, there were the 'old' style QR speed boards (like that one), and the 'newer' yellow on black (circular). That SN dates from the steam era, and to me, is worth its weight in gold, as there's so few stuff like that left 'in-situ'

Kent, the more I see the BVL coming to life, the more I take my hat off to you.

Cheers Mulie! The day is slowly nearing when I can release the BVL. Well Ipswich to Esk at least, let me worry about Esk to Yarraman later :) I'll look into making the SN signs. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. :Y:

Nice shotz guys... great stuff!

Huge "welcome home" to Mulie as well. Real life has slowed progress on Flinders Plains lately, but back to TS at last!!

That said, couldn't resist the lure of the new 3'6" gear by jmorty on the DLS... cars that were used on the old Ghan in the timber finish, complete with CR lettering, length-wise passenger seating and anti-glare grills across the windows. They render nicely in lowlight/night time as well.

Forest_Runner,

Nice shots, as per usual. Sorry to hear that real life interfered with time spent in the much more interesting Trainz world. I hope it's nothing too serious, and things are back to normal.:)

I shall have shots of my own up tomorrow, I promise:o, as soon as I have finished transferring all my content across from '06. I gave up on patching for the moment, as i am on a capped internet plan (10 gig), the limit of which has been reached, and it's taking more time than i have to download the 400mb patch:eek:. I'll just have to wait till 'net speed picks back up, in a week or so.

Oh well, them's the breaks.

Matt.

Great work Zec, Mulie, Ghosty (I actually think that's the first time I've seen smilies in your Post:hehe: ) and FR, you've all got some great "stuff" to show,
I'm moving computer and haven't been able to use trainz as backing-up, then "un-backing up" has taken trains away from me
Zec, will we ever see that route on the DLS?? Just as a VR Version of a Mulie, with some action though
Mulie and FR stop taking pictures of the real world okay? It's a forum for a computer game. Ghosty, you too
I love this thread, can say almost (almost) anything about someone and they know you're joking
Jamie-
FR, don't you just hate real life??:hehe:

NSWGR Cedarton (Fictional, WIP)

Never being a really busy line, Cedarton station was only small, serving only as a crew change point in later years for the now disused coal mine, back in the era of steam.

Cedarton Junction signal box, was long ago closed and boarded up, any signals / points to be changed were done by the guard, or locomotive assistant.

Cedarton Junction spur to former collery, now closed and the line abandoned, left to dissapear back into the weeds and trees.
