Tell me, how does a tanker end up on that hill??
Ha-ha, good find Col......It's stuck to the water tower.
When diesels replaced steam they strapped old tankers to the water towers and used gravity to fuel the thirsty little devils
When they were empty they swapped them for a full one and took them away to be refilled.
I think I have a crook KUID number somewhere.

But what kind of black?, Soot black, Loco black, Coal black, Dark Black, Light Black, Black Black, NSW Black, VIC Black, QLD Black etc... The blacks are endless...:hehe:

ya 1301 was painted green during the 1960's for vintage train duties - have just posted some Pics for you now http://www.pbase.com/stanb/historic
actually if they were ever otherwise green, then it would have been very early on - when they were still fitted with the original round top boilers

1301 rescues the MHG seen with 5014 earlier, unfortunately for the crew of the standard goods, the old, soon to be abandoned branch wasn't quite up to the task of bearing such a weight, luckily 1301 was available to save the day, or at least the MHG.
One must wonder what ever happened to 5014, perhaps she is still sitting in the dirt where she split the rails all those years ago...

Davido: Can I make a small request in regards to the livery on the 422.
From memory, not all of the locomotives in standard tuscan had the 'L7' painted on, would it be too much to ask to have the option of the Tuscan paint scheme with and without the symbol?
