Looks like that driver wants a fine, smoking on the platform carries a fine in Brisbane. Although people still smoke on platforms when they're unattended.

A Connex driver waits for the start of his shift, the 1:45 service....which is running late.

New concept route (large yard)

Still early beta-stages yet, and need to convince Dreddman (aka Mark) to release his excellent QR yard sheds.

Preserved steam loco, C17 model, number 972, makes her way towards the terminus of the Deer Park tourist railway, putting on a spectacular show as she crosses the trestle.

Passing the outer distant signal, C17 972 lets peal her whistle, as she sets her sights on home.

Don't want much, do you? I'm aspiring to make it a 25km 'point to point' route, but its painfully slow going, and with extensive use of displacement maps, etc (for interesting terrain), then tracklaying according to said terrain, then texturing...yeah, don't hold your breath waiting :P

Well, finish this one before starting anymore. Complete one project before moving onto the next.:)

I can't - I got about thirty different routes on the go, all at the same time - I run out of ideas, I kick it over to another, and work on that, then so on.

Hi all... here's a screenshot of my newest creation for the Cranbourne line... it needs a few little flaws fixed...namely the roof...but appart from that...it's gorgeous!! :)

Xtrap is seen departing Cranbourne platform 1. Renovations of the station are apparent, as the chairs and bins are missing from platform 2.

Cheers!
Ausrail.

With such wonderful new routes being created, and ESPECIALLY this current-day line in particular, turning a dream into reality by Ausrail8040... I'm sure some kind person out there with the many skills I never took the time to learn, about how to make models etc.. could have a go at making a connex comeng or perhaps a hitachi etc.. I know many have been started to then be set aside later, due to other commitments etc.. even if its payware, i'd pay if the quality was up there with the fantastic Xtrap model....

Sure, I do wish I had taken the time years ago to learn how to make models etc, but I never did, you all do such a fantastic job and have done just that with so much VR and V/Line items.. i'm looking forward to the day someone has a go at melbourne suburbans, and other current, up to date trains.. :D

Ausrail8040 is my trainz hero..!

Col, you should know that Mulie never really finishes anything, without having something else lined up straight away. I'm rather impressed with the fact that he is working on a longer layout...

I wonder if I had any "input" into that decision...

Chris

*chuckles* I've just needed the inspiration, ideas and so on - this one is fairly easy (well, kinda) to design, as its primarily single-line, bi-directional working, on a 'tourist' type railway, so wouldn't be much 'line traffic', which makes me happy.

As for never finishing anything, well, is it *my* fault I'm easily distracted and...
