I gotta stop opening this route. It's meant to be for taking a break from the Geelong line but it's so much fun to build... lol

I know how you feel Jamie. I get the same feeling each time I have a run on Eric's "NSW Illawarra & Southern Highlands" route.

Love the scenic views along the winding track from Stanwell Park down the coast - every bend is worth a look.

For any 'Sydney-ite' who loves a little railway nostalgia, you might find this of interest.

It's Redfern Railway Station in 1894. (Courtesy - from the Australasian, Melbourne, 24 February 1894)

Now if you didn't know, there was no Central Station and Redfern was as far as the 'line' went - It was a busy terminus and as the photo shows, the trains terminated towards the back and right; then from the centre and in front of the railway building, steam-trams conveyed passengers around Sydney and to the suburbs.

In addition, Hansom Cab Taxis, horse & buggy 'sets' and a variety of other coaches lined up to pick up the rest.

Cheers,
Roy

PS: Try modelling this

Hi Robert,

I'm sorry but I don't have the authority from tracksupervisor to forward his route on.

Fourteen months ago Eric sent me a 10mb copy of the 'NSW Illawarra & Southern Highlands Route', which was originally built in TS2010. I uploaded it into TS12, but because of its size, my computer kept freezing-up.

So, I then uploaded it into T:ANE, made a few modifications and have it working. The TANE route runs from Stanwell Park southwards.

I only run it for personal use, however, if you were to contact tracksupervisor by PM, he may be prepared to release it.

Cheers,
Roy

Lately, I've been working on refurbishing my Sydney Central route and started to re-build it from Circular Quay northwards. This time, I intend to expand a little on the surrounding scenery and incorporate the Cahill Expressway loop.

Circular Quay from scratch.

Sometimes, you need a little help to pinpoint a few items.

Some further progress on Circular Quay Station. After building it before, the 2nd time around seems quicker.

Cheers Mick.:)

In case anyone else is wondering where ATD is at with the T Classes. These'll be full steam ahead after the VL's, Bairnsdale to Orbost and the XR's. Plenty of liveries to go yet

Thanks Mick, Yes, it's a clean slate. There were a number of things that I didn't quite feel comfortable about my previous version. It would have been too much fiddling around to modify it and it still wouldn't look right.

Sydney Harbour is empty at present, so if you've got a couple of full skips, just dump it all in.

Cheers,
Roy

Hey Mick, I don't think I fit the category of a saint, maybe in the other direction would be closer to the mark. Thanks anyway.

I noticed on another thread that there were a few assets that became corrupted following the SP2 update.

When i opened my 'Sydney Central & City Circle V3' route there were 3 assets I had used are now displaying weirdly. They are nameable shopfronts,..
<kuid:134105:29187> Shopfront 8 DS ML1
<kuid:134105:29189> Shopfront 8b DS ML1
<kuid:134105:29190> Shopfront 8c DS ML1

Here's a screenshot at Milsons Point Station.

For those people I have distributed my route to, I have sent you an email. Fortunately, these assets are easily fixed by either deleting them completely; or if you choose, replace them with other assets.

I chose to replace them with others from the series 'BS Shopfront' and now, I have deleted the faulty ones from my database.

The location where these assets are placed,... at Milsons Point Station on the Eastern side (3 assets), and at Circular Quay facing the wharf (2 assets).

Ah well, back to Version 4.

Cheers,
Roy

Thanks Roy i got the email typical they fix one bug and create five more :hehe: with each patch. Keep up the great work anyway mate.
Cheers Mick.

Australian Trainz Division is very proud to announce the release of our CFCLA VL Class Locomotives. This model has had over a years work put into it, which in turn provides you with one of the best modern Australian Trainz models available to date. I would like to thank a number of people including (in no particular order):

• Zec (S301) for his tireless scripting work for this loco.
• Aaron (Azervich) for also helping with the scripting and remodelling the bogies.
• David (trainfan2017) for helping reproduce the authentic font numbers and individual racehorse names.
• Richard (Scratchy) for his superb texture work, providing the realistic style weathering.
• Jamie (H222) for allowing us access to the official CFCLA artwork for the VL.
