Australian screenshots

G'day everyone,
I've been busy testing out my route and took a few pics.

It looks fantastic Graeme. Is the end in sight?

Happy Australia Day mate.

Cheers,
Roy
Only just passed halfway. 215kms of mainline done, with about 180 to go. I can see the northern end if I zoom out but still a long way to go heading south, best part is Junee and Benalla are the only large towns left to do and I'm grateful for that after Wagga
cheers
Graeme.

Graeme did you get a new PC? Your screenshots look better...
Cheers, Stefan.
Not yet, still experimenting with manual post processing. I found that the minimum setting for sharpening is best as any more than that caused bunching of ground textures. I've also found that the lighting is better for screenshots in the late afternoon and early morning, also been having a play with environment settings and different skies and fog levels.
cheers
Graeme

It looks awesome Graeme!! I simply can't wait to run an XPT through this. :)
Thanks Taggy. It's getting more fun to play with by the day. I can't wait to get it finished, so I can merge it with the Picton and Illawarra and branches to Bethungra route I have merged up and start doing some seriously long freight runs.
cheers,
Graeme

Fantastic work all, great to see a version of the North East coming together! :)

Also great shot with the Ts and wheat hoppers Tom!

Been having some fun playing with aspect ratio/screen orientation in TANE :)

Zec

Really nice shots Zec, I particularly like the one in the cutting but they are all great shots.
Just one from me after more playing with environment settings and post processing.

Wow, these screenshots... You can't even compare TS12 screenshots to TANE without using photoshop (which still probably isn't comparable), damn I need TANE and a good PC.

Cheers, Stefan

Absolutely awesome shots guys, really nice work!!
T345 departs a fairly empty Cowarie Yard with a lightly loaded consist of GY's...

Great shot Tom, especially with my favourite old loco sitting in the background. Are they new GY's or have you just been adding your magic touch to some old ones?
Either way nice one mate.
Cheers,
Baz.

Hey Baz,

They look like I wagon reskins as I can see a large and small door, lol

Cheers.

I think you might be right Azza, there's too much detail for it to be the old ones that have been around for a while. Not taking anything away from them, they were great and we all used them and no doubt still do. I know I do.

Graeme that shot of yours is terrific mate, you just keep on getting better and now Zec goes and raises the bar again. You blokes are sure making it hard for us average punters, LOL. Awesome, keep em coming.

Cheers guys,
Baz.

Thanks fellas! The GY's are actually just I wagons masquerading as GY's, a quick reskin of Zec's payware model :)
Found this old photo going through my collection, T345 passing through the countryside...

The screenshots lately guys, are all at high, high standards. Great work and keep it coming Zec, Tom, Graeme, Baz & Mark.

Also, your route is looking fabulous Graeme.

Cheers, Roy

I've been out of action for the past ten days and haven't been able to put up any screenshots.

My T:ANE launcher seized up somehow and I haven't been able to access any of my routes that I'd created over the past two years. Only three routes were recoverable which I'd created cdp files for and stored in a separate file. A number of other people's routes that I had been working on are unaccessible.

I've now reinstalled TANE once again and this time in the E: Drive which was laying idle with a spare 1TB HD. I'll keep a "Master File" this time which will eventually house anything that is worthwhile keeping. I'll run it in tandem with TANE on C: Drive.

I'm still hoping to find a way to recover more of my work, once I discover the best way to identify the files I want. The Local & Original folders held 130GB of memory and I certainly don't need all that. I had tried to point the new installation to the old Data Folder but that seized up the new Launcher also.

So it's been a little hectic lately. I may watch the women's AFL competition for some enjoyment.

So much for my whingeing. Cheers guys,
Roy
EDIT: Whingeing is over. Computer is functioning again. Finally restored all my route files and clear away any unwanted stuff. I'm now collating all 'good' routes in cdp folders onto an external hard drive. I won't get caught out again. Hey, the womens AFL wasn't bad either !!

Hi Roy,

Thanks for the compliment and sorry to hear about your computer woes. The standard of shots lately have been fantastic, great to see.

Take care mate,
