Isn't it time the Queenslanders used the correct gauge for their maps ?? Specially for steam locos. A loco built for 3'6" looks odd if put on std gauge track.

A couple from my early VR Bushlands Route:
NPVP-1.jpg

V527 waits patiently for the Mixed to arrive at National Park
NPVP-2.jpg

The mixed has arrived so it's time to depart
NPVP-3.jpg

Due to there being no turning facilities at the moment (but being installed :p) the K has to trail the way back
NPVP-4.jpg

And look whats at the front! A brand new (well relatively new :o) Tait car to lead they way back home. It is seen here crossing the creek.

Cheers,
Tom :)

Hey Patchy,

Here is a quote from Bill69 in another thread:

"I aggree with Caleb, Greg Baker's track is nice track, kuid 44640 38003,
and for bridges and turntables I use kuid 35412 38081 no balast."

I hope this is suitable.

Of course, Bill. You do know that now you have to build a 3 foot 6 Steamer like this..

(thans Kim Thurlow)

Then we got to set about and find narrow gauge bogies for all the stuff still not converted. Although I note so many have already been done!

Without doubt, you need only one really good NG QR map out there and everybody else will pitch in and make 3 foot 6 the norm!
Cheers

rod

i agree, with you we need the B/BB-18 1/4 4-6-2 steamer.

speaking of maps i can convert my ipswich map to three foot Six but there are several items that need to be modified for narrow guage running. rod will be sedning you a pm about this.

and everyone some good screenies keep it up.

Cheers

Ghosty

Rod,

If you can find me a GOOD large scale drawing of said loco I'll put it in my "To Do" basket. I am working on another 42" project at the moment.

Hi Bill
I have one but it is not that great, however this engine has been built many times as a live steamer, I am sure their are better drawings out there. And of course after that offer I feel sure our Queensland mates will go crazy now searching them out :D
Anybody?
QR Steam
Cheers

As per my PM Billegulla, I'll be going to ZZR soon and will get photo's of anything you need shots of the engines I listed.

Tom

DDe 705 departs National Park Station with a pass. Due to no turntable available (This time the D4 shunter de-railed :o) the loco could not be turned.

If anyone is seriously planning to build a BB18 1/4 i can help out with reference pics and sounds...being a Queenslander myself and spending most of my time takeing pics and vids of QR steam i have a quite large collection of pics and vids to draw on....Such as this....

I have been looking at Dreddmanz site, and there is already a BB18 1/4 there, though it would be good if he would finish most of his content:)
