Ron,

I may be able to assist from my QR carriage book; in the 1950s; branches such as the Fassifern would have had Railmotor services but in occasions when an RM was unavailable or running at short notice; consists would have been made up by a PB15 with four coaches; some cases non corridor or corridor stock with lavatories with a van attached. You could see Davidsons CL, CLVs, End Platform, redundant vintage carriage stock from the pre 1900s and cascaded mainline non corridor stock. Most passengers at other times rode in guards vans of the mixed or goods trains to Boonah usually in a BGV, BLV, CLV or CV

Now the Sydney Mail from 1946 to 1958 was made up by a Baggage - AL, DAS, AL, BL, BAS, BL, CL, CAS and Mail Van. Parlours were taken off from 1940, then converted to both AL cars then one to a BL. Locomotives after 1926, would have been the B18 1/4 until the advent of the BB18 1/4; C19s were cascaded to general traffic use.

I hope that helps and the route looks nice.

thank you M.Gitsham

No worries; if you got any questions further on Q.R Railway Carriages. Just pop myself an email, as i can draw on my notes for my book.

I am going to release a few items shortly in the form of coaching stock including the full Sydney Mail set, Non Corridor Branch Stock, updated detailed Davidson CL/BL/CLV/BLV/BGV, couple of vans - BGV 25ft/35ft, 1950 guards vans 40ft CLV, BBV, BLV and 55ft branchline CLV, and many more. I might send through some items of interest.

Have textured and added scenery over 15kms in 3 days... but happy with it so far.
One of the yards which has a fair few spare tracks for stabling. The PN grain train on transfer to Mulgarin did 30kms and was still going from another yard. Branch lines then lead of from Mulgarin and would be easily 20kms even more. The branches haul grain and can be unloaded by 3 x unloading silos on the track. Still got a bit of texturing here and there but is enjoyable running on it.

Cheers

Hello Everyone,

Just undertaking some further work on my Queensland Railways 1200 class; added extra mesh details, corrected the mesh for errors, tested my new textures and now adding interior details for the cab using my own 1953 English Electric 1200 class Manual which contains detailed schematics and photographs of the interior.

Nice work David, Did you see the pic in the latest Motive Power Mag of the L Class being scrapped ?.
Cheers Mick.

Thanks Mick! Yeah I did, sad to see but I guess when they are that old they gotta make way for the newer locos.
In WA they have stored most of them too, even whats left of the old NG locos (after most went to South Africa).
Cheers
