Zec, I have been interested in a dual guage line that matches (or is similar to) the NSW track on the DLS from Cardiff works, and I would really like to know how that was done. (onliy if you don't mind)

And while I am on the topic of the NSW ML/YL/YML, when I downloaded them, they got rid of the old NSW tracks called Grey concrete, Grey Wood, etc...

How can I have both tracks?

They should. The 'ML/YL/YML' tracks were designed to replace the old ones (otherwise they wouldn't have overwritten them).

As to dual gauge track. The one in my screenshot was made using custom tracks, including a specially made track that only has 1 rail (and a marker to help line up the 'common' rail). However, if you can find a SG/BG pair of track that match, you can very easily set up a dual gauge line by laying one over the top of the other, with one of the rails from each merged together to form a 'common rail'.

Both are very fiddley to set up though.

I have some UTC dual gauge track by DS1 (?) He made a BG +SG converge into DG and then various lengths of DG track. Wooden sleepers as well as concrete.
Wonder why you are complicating it so? I know you will have a good reason, just cant think what you are getting at just now
Cheers

Nat, or anyone else who would know:

What is the platform height from the rails of NSW railway platforms? Any help is good:)

The 'DG' track that Ds1 made (I was working on fixing these for TRS04/TRS06/TC standards, but kept losing track of it all :s ) were setup as 'bridge' track. This means you couldn't used the 'straighten' tool on them, or have 'junctions' in it without using the regular tracks.

The system that I'm currently using for the DG track was actually suggested to me by ds1 a number of months back. I will most likely make a 'fixed track' piece to go with the DG tracks to make laying it a little easier. But, it is the best way to go. At least if you want to be able to use the track for a large variety of areas (yards, and so on).

Ok
Now I see the problem :(
And as you mentioned keeping contact with him, can you find out what happened to his nice GY. I think it was high polly, but it did look good.
Cheers

He did mention it in one of his last emails. But not sure what was happening. He's not currently doing anything with TRS still though. But he does still have all his meshes. Well, thats going off memory of the last time I spoke to him :)

Some more shots.
Walked out my hotel room at Malcutta to find this scene down at the Yard.

Got down to the station as quick as I could. N464 was running the regular V/Line Pass service whilst T400 and T371 sit in No2 road after running a Grain Train. The last of the VR Stock sits in No3 road.

I'm still building it :D Its called 'Warran Junction' but have only completed a quarter of the route. It's fictional and for 06 only.

I'm liking all the victorian content and screens that seem to be coming out soon...!

Can someone please tell me if the v/line carriages being made will include the well known orange with grey roof, white and green stripes down the side?? :)

And that if anyone has finished the Xtrap, or been working on any other spark, wether the awesome hitachi someone was making at one stage, comeng or even a tait??

I see the red and blue on the VLP loco/ carriages is looking much better!!

Keep up the awesome work im so envyous of, and keep flooding us with screenshots!! :D
