Australian screenshots

Been in Queensland for the past week playing rugby union against the best teams in Brisbane (currently nursing my injuries, 4 full games in 5 days) and wow. They have a massive amount of freight up there. Over one 80 minute game while watching a match, there a dozen coal trains, several containers trains and an empty livestock train, a long-haul passenger train, plus a PN Class shunting some more intermodal wagons around St Joseph's Gregory Terrace's playing fields (googled it, and it's near Moolabin goods Yard.)

Anyone know of sum older style Coal Hoppers we can use with these older elctrics ?, And be buggered if i can set up the catenery to the proper height for WilliamG's Loco's either the Pantograph is too high or the cat wires are too low but man i love this Queensland stuff :udrool:.
Cheers Mick.
P.S Sorry for putting Cat wires on your Amazing Route Kent and probably spoiling how it should look but you have done an outstanding job with this Route.

Not sure, but you migt be able to search, if you knew the code of the hoppers.

Have you tried using a similar overhead wires in the spline option, that way, you may be able to adjust the height?

Matruck, what route is it? Perhaps we need to show route names.

Hey note to whoever designed this browser, you do know that "catenary" & "pantograph" ARE the correct spelling of each, stop putting a red squiggle line under them!

Red the route is as Jamie stated by Kentith45 called QDR BVL Wulkuraka - Toogoolawah and at one end there is a sign saying to merge this one with another Kent may be building but he only has one Route on the Mothership (DLS) and i only grabbed it yesterday but i would put Kentith45 up there with Dermmy,Joe,Axe1970 along with many other's i've forgoten to mention, The detail on this Route has to be seen to be believed. And i'm about to modify it too lol. As for the Coal Hoppers i wouldn't even know where to start looking but hopefully a more knowledgeable fellow trainzer may be able to pass on sum idea's on where to obtain them if available if not then we'll just have to add it to my ever growing list f projects.
Cheers Mick.

Moolabin Yard is PN's base in Brisbane. And the line through there is basically the mainline to Fish Is from the west and nth as it isn't common practice to send trains across the Merrivale and through the main part of town.

Mick, it isn't uncommon for the pans to be stretched up to the wires as that is the way they operate and it isn't uncommon in the more rural areas as the wires seem to be higher there, so don't worry about it.

Glen

Thanks Glen but it still kinda looks strange with the pan ( This must be the part that touches the wire i take it ? ) to be touching the wire one minute and the next it's completely up thru the wires. Anyway thanks for the help the more i get into the QR stuff the more i'll learn over time mate i already have sum drawings for sum rolling stock and one electric loco.

Snip.... ! still have to learn whats supposed to go with what up there yet lol.
Cheers Mick.

I can tell you what is up there, there is lots of bananas, pine apples, good fishing and all (most of) the year around sun shine. I still have a warm feeling for Cairns, Cardwell, Townsville, Mackay, Brisbane and in between, having lived there for some years in my past. Beautiful one day, perfect the next :hehe:.

To get back to screenshots, proper painted front cab of PN version 4 of the G Class is almost finished, ready to be cloned and attached to rear:

Side on with sand fillers added to side skirts, all steps added on locomotive body and front cab, rear cab to be exchanged with front when finished. Then on to the below body refinements and tank etc. and still 2 fans above need reworking. Plus new bogies too need to be made, the ones seen here are used ONLY to get the locomotive into Trainz (for nit pickers :p). Still lots of work ahead.

Then on to the other painted versions of the G Class.

Cheers

DD 586 rolls down the loop at Mimosa.

After departing Mimosa, DD586 slowly blasts it's way around the sharp curve past the distant signal
.

A short distance up the grade, the DD drag a pair of loaded I wagons out of the small quarry siding.
