Qr Redbank - Bundamba Loop

Entry to loop via redbank or bundamba, crossing locations were redbank,4Ml 54Ch, 3Ml 8Ch,ipswich racecourse, bundamba.box flat was one of the 3 mines controlled from 3ml 8ch. ety coal hoppers trains from bundamba would leave the hoppers in the loop at 3ml 8ch and attach loaded coal wagons ex the coal siding called bogside at 3ml 8ch and return to bundamba, tennyson, or murarrie. one night officer (OIC) was stationed at 3ml 8ch,the shunt crew.driver, fireman, shunter in charge, were stationed at bundamba. the distance from 3ml 8ch to the mines was approx 2km, loaded coal wagons were left at bogside sdg, empty coal hoppers from 3ml 8ch were propelled (Engine on rear), shunter riding shotgun on leading buffer.all this stopped in 1967 after swan bank powerhouse came on line. I have a small amount of 8mm footage of 3ml 8ch if i find it, i will put in on utube.

Snip...Hi all,

Nice screenshots and new content of lately, curently enjoying having a play with VinnyBarb's CSR/BK class locos

Matt

Hi Matt, any issues, graphic glitches, script problems or any other faults with these locomotives? As no one seems to give me any feed back and it would be nice for me to know, so I can improve the next lot.

Cheers

VinnyBarb

Hi guys how the stuff are you all - sorry to report but the varicella-zoster virus (same bugger who causes chicken pox) has decided to give me a bit of visit so I have been out of it for the last 3-4 weeks including a hospital visit - on the mend now I hope. That and at the same time my lappy hard drive went wacko but everything was backed up but have not really been up to fixing it.

We will be returning to normal time tabled service soon.

Hey All

I am considering a Goonyella System route does anybody want to help?
Since a family member works there I have managed to get a whole system Kilometer by Kilometer map something like 200 pages.

I would be a little careful shouting that from the rooftops as those sorts of things are usually classed as intellectual property and not for those outside of railway employees. If you are curious, yes I know about such things. Others in this forum can back my credentials. Word to the wise.
Regards
Glen

What's this got to do with sumone asking for help with a project ?. You can buy any US Track Chart for what ever area you want but for sum reason out here any info is a secret.
Cheers Mick.

Maybe i havn't been around as long as i thought Dave i don't remember that part but gee the world's gone mad if sum one can not release a Route without fear of getting the sack. I doubt i'd want a job with them that bad if that was what was awaiting me.
Mick.

The Blackwater system that used to be available for download was 88 pages, according to a non rail employee mate who downloaded it from the public site. Includes grade diagram. I just checked with him to get the page count.

A check of the site myself just then revealed many other QLD track systems are still available for public downloads.

Times have changed indeed.

I remember writing a letter to Westrail as a kid and some poor bugger ended up photocopying the line diagrams of every loco class as well as some yard schematics for me. Still have them somewhere too if anyone needs one (up to the P Class)!

Cool and welcome aboard would you happen to have anything on the WA L Class ?, I have the plan from the old MR Mag year's ago but the plan is over two page's with hard to read measurements. and trying to put the two together in CS is a pain.
Mick.

An unknown DD class peeks through the trees as it roars along with it's train.

Later on, the DD is seen sitting on a bridge as passenger board and alight the train.

Mick, I think I have L class line drawings somewhere on my system which a friend gave me. If I remember rightly line drawings for most old Westrail loco classes from the early 50s up to the 80s can be found at the Battye Library in Perth fairly easily as well.
