Australian screenshots

Not that long ago Auran would not let people show or upload third reich content to the dls, I assume for fear of causing upset to people. I remember a few creators were told not to display screenshots

I think you are probably thinking of content showing the Swastika, which is verboten/prohibited/banned of displaying in Germany, hence these displays have been banned from getting shown here and have also been removed from the DLS. There is plenty of 3rd Reich (German WW II) content on the DLS, including the many tanks and SDK vehicles I have created over the years. I have always displayed any of my created German WW II content over the years here and also in the German forum. To offset these, I also did create many Allied Jeeps and Ford Blitz trucks. After all, it had been members here that had asked me to create these items.

Would this story of mine be any different if I had shown a Sherman, Cromwell, T34 or any other Allied tank? I think not, as these are not menacing enough and fear invoking enough (<--my opinion). Only their sheer numbers finally made Allied victory possible over the German tanks. Ask any ex Allied tank commander what they thought (as example) of the German Tiger tank. Just being told, these beasts are in the area they were in, was enough to raise fear and anxiety in many.

The Jagdpanther was the best " tank destroyer" tank in WW II. (Google for it in case you think I am wrong). As this is a screenshot forum I originally did not want to comment here but I thought it is better to forestall any further misconceptions.

After all, this was meant to be as a "bedtime story" only to show the new Jagdpanthers I created and also the LDP QRN Class still as WiP in the same screenshots.

Cheers

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone had any luck installing the K Set, C Set or Tangara's for Trainz 12.
For the K and C set the asset 1854:1748:1 doesnt seem to exist and is missing . Does anyone know what this asset is and/or how I could get these trains working?
Can they be downloaded elsewhere, most links I have found dont exist or have been removed.
Thanks,
Mike.

Awesome work as usual Bear. Cowra Loco's paint shed must be working overtime with the speed your loco reskins are coming out at. :)

If I can make a small clarification though about the WA versions (the M and MA classes) - as far as I'm aware, the Westrail M and MA classes have carried no less than four different liveries since their introduction in the early 1970's (original WAGR green with red and yellow stripe, standard Westrail orange with blue and white stripe, blue running board and Westrail 'molar tooth' logo, 1990's Westrail 'shadow' orange with no stripe on the sides and big 'Westrail' lettering in white and blue, and finally, the current livery worn by the sole operational survivor, MA 1862: PTA Transperth livery of white, green and red with big ugly PTA Transperth 'Pacman' logos on the side and 'Transperth' written on the front of the hood.). I've also heard at least one ex Westrail unit is in Queensland at the moment awaiting rebuild for use on the cane lines along with a large number of it's NSW sisters.

Anyway, I'm loving the content you've released so far, and I'm really looking forward to having a run of all these little cuties out on the track. :D

if you down load the new version off the DLS you should be right

Thanks Mate thats just the info thats needed.
Not bad for a group of only 5 locos it looks like 4 diffrent ones are needed to show there life over the years with the WAGR.

Its the same with the the EBR units there was only 7 but 4 locos will be needed to show there life span. The EBR ones are the next into the workshop as the 4 varations are just really signage changes not full repaints. But i do need to rework the mesh a bit first :)

Yeah, and these are even narrower gauged ones, their wheels hardly touch the rails. A disgrace if you ask me :p.

Hey Jason, nice looking LDPs you are showing off there :hehe:. Where can I get those coal hoppers from you used in these screenshots? Are these on the DLS?

VB are you planning to make a GWA "GWA"class

Hey, Cheers for the Reply,

It was the new versions I did download, The ones for TS12. Ive downloaded them as packs through the download cart and also seperatley as downloads. They still say missing dependencies.
Anyway appreciate the reply, thankyou.

Mike.

Yes, I guess so but it will be the last in line of the Downer EDi build ones I will create or have created. Next is the LDP Class QRN Eagle look version which is currently work in progress with 3 more LODs still to be done, then comes the PN TT Class and after that the GWA Class.

At the moment I seem to be getting stale with the LDP Class derivatives (as it seems to me there is no challenge for me anymore after I already made the SCT Class and the other LDP Classes already on the DLS and am itching to try my hand on some urgently needed current rolling stock of which I have already gathered information and pictures of some, especial some needed SCT rolling stock. I am already working in between on a couple of different current Bradken (Bradford Kendall) bogies, with my usual level to detail that I do and that keeps me motivated somewhat, I guess by jumping back and forth between objects. I also work currently on 3 different Jagdpanther tank destroyers, which I rediscovered recently in my creating chest after I forgot these after I nearly finished these some 18 months ago.

They will fit on flat tops for transport, have the correct dimensions (not like the old versions of these I have on the DLS for some years which are too big). If you would like to know where the landscape below is, it is straight out of my bedtime story, in Absurdistan. :hehe:

Here are all three of the Jagdpanthers, a 3 coloured, camouflaged one, a desert one and a winter version.

They will have auto numbering but as said, there is still some work to be done on these. If you look closely, these JPs have 32 driving wheels, yes, 32 of these, 16 driving wheels on each side, plus 2 driving sprocket wheels for the tracks and 2 idler rear wheels. As they had that many wheels in reality. That means I guess, these beasts will need a couple of LOD meshes made as well.

If there is enough demand for these, I will upload these to the DLS, once done.

So much to do in so little time I have. :p

Cheers
