ok guys, i think we have seen enough, its ridiculous that one person says something and everyone has to have go at them, this pack mentality is right, even though i dont beleive that zig zag will get ripped up it would be rather awkward if he heard right

so once again its enough

Pack Mentality? Everyone is saying he's incorrect, but no one is ganging up on him Jake

Jamie

your contradicting your own story, saying everyone is saying then saying no one is ganging up, its done with i dont want to hear it and if you want last say, step right up, in other news, City train project has big news

Back in your hole mate. If your little mate actually put some thought into his posts before he pressed the post button, he wouldn't need to be told off. He is the wrong, he never learns and I have no idea why you continue to baby him and support him. If he wants to be a respected member here, he should finally start taking note of what others are telling him and learn from his mistakes. His last post clearly shows he still hasn't learnt why people 'pick on him'.

I don't wish to be nasty to anyone but for goodness sake, please learn to think before you post and take older and more respected members advice and all will be good.

End of rant and back to some quality shots! :)

As said of Monday I think it was, the tutorial of how to use Davido's Catenary would be avalible by Wednesday, now my question is where should I put it for everyone to see? Like I don't think I am able to put it here so maybe Worrybrook Station's website?

Hey Guys,

Are there any PN Steel Wagons available to make Steel trains between QLD-MELB?

Thanks in advance
Henry

Henry,

Try searching the DLS for the "RKKY" wagon - they are three-pack wagons, with a front, middle and rear section used to carry steel billets. AFAIK they typically operate between Whyalla and Newcastle, but a steel wagon is a steel wagon, in my eyes! Peter (ad602000) has also made some interesting wagons, as well as steel cargoes that may be of interest.

taggy, sadly, this is a common issue with all internet forums these days - the younger generation have been told since day dot that everything they say or do is worthy of praise and worship, and heaven forbid someone point out to them that they were wrong. All I saw was an ill-considered statement with no factual backing, howled down by a number of people who know it to be incorrect. At no point were names called or petty insults used to prove a point. I completely agree with your sentiment expressed above.

Gday all the LDP class are in testing at the moment vinnybarb will let everybody know when they are ready for the time been enjoy these great screen shots of Vinnys terrific work on the upcoming LDP class Downer EDi demostrator which was applied to LDP001 and LDP002 when they came out revenue service in 2009

Why would you not be able to put it here? I'm sure Davido wouldn't mind the tutorial being placed here, more people see his work, more people go to Worrybrook Station and see his content.

Love the look of those LDP's!! Vinnybarb has really done a great job on them, his attention to detail is fantastic. However there is a couple prototypical rivet counting things that have caught my eye from those screenshots :P The LDP's never featured the camera on the long end (That's an SCT thing) and the other rivet counting thing is the fact that they never got that dirty whilst wearing the EDi logos (Don't get me wrong, I love the look of it, however prototypical speaking it's not correct unless someone can prove me otherwise). Put some QR National logos on it and the weathering would be right at home ;)

Nonetheless, fantastic work!

Cheers,
Tom :)

Thank you for the heads up and the "rivet counting" info, yes these early LDPs were not as dirty initially as these were Demonstrators after all and had to look reasonably clean. Having said that however, I have pictures of them when they got their QR National logos while still in their black/blue/off white colours (LDP 003 was the first, the other 2, LDP 001 and 002 received their QRN logos much later), where they are obscenely dirty. I don't know about QR National, why they don't clean theirs, it seem their locomotives only get washed when it rains up there in Bananaland. Check out ANY of their QRN locomotives running around anywhere and you will agree.

In contrast to SCT Logistics (Specialised Container Transport), they seem to look after their locomotives, a few of these SCT Classes are passing my backyard fence a few times every week. They are as reasonably clean as they can be and they seem to regularly go through a washing bay. Similar to their new CSR Class, as I have recently seen around Adelaide's Outer Harbour wharfs, delivering minerals for shipping overseas.

Back to the LDPs, these will be on the DLS in a few days, possibly after the weekend. They were build for TS12, configured for TS12 but received a build number of 2.9. Which means they should run in TS09, TS10 and of course in TS12. Also, I left the Auto Numbering Script with the LDPs intact, it is the same as with the SCT Class. Which means you can assign any number from 000 to 999 but PLEASE, when posting screenshots of these Demonstrator LDPs, PLEASE number these LDP 001 or LDP 002 ONLY.

LDP 003 with its distinctive QR National logo will follow a few days later to the DLS, as well as a clean(ish) version of these LDP Demonstrators and a "sort of" dirty version of the SCT Class, which is almost finished. After that the WH Class, to get the black/blue/off white units out of the way, followed by the Eagle look paint scheme of the QRN LDP Class. After that on to the PN TT Class etc.......

Cheers

VinnyBarb
