Along the main line the VR X class loco has just left Tarin Rocks bound for the long journey to Billegulla Hill Station.

Yes as I can see you matched that website picture with regard to the side stripe!! Part of the problem is your yellow front is clean and the real one shown at http://alcophile.tripod.com/46class.htm had metallic dust on the tops after a few weeks spending their lives under the wires. But the real ones left the paintshop clean so I suggest you also have a clean one.

I understand that metallic dust was from the panto contact with the overhead wires. Since the locos often were in double header consists and were double cab locos so not always turned at the end of trips, the metallic dust was soon on both ends of the locos

I remember that "custard" one because the ARHS Railway Digest magazine gave it the nickname "Custard".

If folks want to know more about the 46 class see the documents at http://www.sets.org.au/docs/d46.html from http://www.sets.org.au/

Dirty versions may come later - its often hard to tell what the colours of a 46 were due to the muck on them

on the off chance anybody got a blue print or a line drawing of 4501/7100 ?

Have you tried http://www.coalstonewcastle.com.au/plan/008/document/ from http://www.coalstonewcastle.com.au/plan/documents/

View online only at that site but I suggest you try a screenshot for more permanent records. The top menu of that http://www.coalstonewcastle.com.au/ website has a section called "Documents" which is a treasure trove of NSWGR facts and data. Might be more there that helps you.

Faxton area during 1960...
Fresh of the boat, F7 55 'Callum J. Geddes' heads a DOWN 'Faxton Peanut Express' pass between Gatefold and Faxton, where a cross with an UP livestock, hauled by R766, was made.

Morning all

The 0550hrs IMU from Nambour to Brisbane departs the dock at Nambour

Makes a station stop at Eudlo

And departs Glasshouse Mountains on time - much to the annoyance of this commuter who took the shot while still out in the carpark!

Hey All
Have not fallen off the edge of the world or down a hole been enjoying some time away with family and friends and restoring my motivation. Some great shots and items of Content shown off great work.

Ron
In most cases i judge the number of baseboards based on the location and position of the tracks. But in most cases the rule of thumb i use is two boards wide three if its on a curve but i look at the mini map view and ground level view to asses what is needed.

Kent
The Tunnel shot looks awesome you are getting the feel of the line quite right.

Cheers

Hello everyone,

I just uploaded an Airchime K1-2 hornsound to the DLS to go with VinyBarb's SCT class, and all the other reskins he is going to do of it (LDP etc). This horn is also used by the XPT.

I will post back here when it is available for download.

Hey trainman3801 I'm also in the process of making a hornsound for LDPs as they have a different hornsound to what SCTs horns have
