Triple post, sorry

Has anyone made any suburban ekectric trains? Such as Harris trains, Taits, Swing doors and such?

Cheers

Harris yes, Tait yes.

Harris is Azervich's but isn't publicly released

Tait is by Paulz Trainz, but only a (wrong) motor car.

I've been putting releases on Victrainz for several years now, I think the first was 2010 and with each one I made improvements to the body and textures, the newest one I put up several weeks ago was a whole new build from scratch as the others I did in both Gmax (pre-2012) and 3ds max (post 2012) where NQR and wasn't happy with how they turned out, the latest ones I am happy with, the only old things on it is the Pantograph, they have whole new scripting as I ditched AJS Superscript because it had limitations, this new script is a custom type with Bloodnoks ACS, Headcodes with other script codes from the DD's.

I'm still not 100% happy, but I will be once it's finished and re-work the mapping and move the interior to a separate map for interior lighting, at the moment I'm more onto Steam locos and freight rollingstock to fill in the gap of modern 1940's to 1980's stuff.

Cheers.

Oooooh, lookie.... a double post...

Question to the NSW people... why isn't there much diagrams or info on rollingstock?
I bought this a couple of weeks ago, yet I can't even find any info what it is, the seller just marked it as a Sydney electric 1:32 Scale, looks more like 1:29 or even 1:27 to me as the size seems a bit big for 9.525mm to the foot, the width is about 110mm and the length 640mm long.

All depends on who you talk to - need to ask where you got that ?????

I can not tell you much about the model it self but do have some idea of where it came from and its history

AS to the prototype it there is even a trainz version

I bought it of ebay to put in the backyard, I also download all the sydney sparks you and Pete buit but no match, the reason why I was looking for diagrams wasn't to build one in trainz, but to buy brass sheets and build better bogies with a milling bit in a press drill and use slaters 3'1" dia wheels with small mashima motors in series to half the 18volt input.

Cheers.

It close to being a 1957 unit our 1947 unit cars would be a close match.

Now if this unit has a Marklin Chassis you may own a remarkable piece of history - I have a feeling it may be one of the models that NSW apprentices made for the NSWGR . The NSWGR had for awhile its own 1/32 and later 1/76 display model railway that often appeared at events across nsw, they even had a group drawn from their own ranks of full and part time model builders

This one is a scratch build, The guy sent me a message last night saying he has a few more being assembled, I'm planning on getting the rest and add some floor details, interior with lights, would look cool at night.

ABC Gears build Traction Motors for O scale and Gauge 1 using a Maxon A-Max motor, wouldn't mind fitting those, but I feel they maybe too powerfull for something light weight and cause wheel spin.

Do these cars have 2 motor or 4 moyors? I found lots of photos on the 1920's cars and they have 2 motors, wonder how they work, In Victoria all Motor Cars had 4 motors due to the weight and 1in40 grades they had to climb.

Cheers.

Evening all.

I was filming the Steamrail Rail and Sail today.
I PLANNED to film at South Kensington, Spotswood, and Newport, however I only got spotswood, as the other two times I was blocked off by a suburban train.

Has anyone had similar experinences, if so, do you have advice on how to avoid it?

Cheers

Umm, well, I was filmed South Kensington when it was heading SCS Bound - Empty, Spotswood - Geelong Bound, Newport - SCS Bound. Maybe that helps?

Cheers??

The pic in your post actually looks a lot more curved towards to top of the bogie Azza, But if ya think that's the correct one then get building LOL.
Cheers Mick.
