Auran's security certificate has expired

My Firefox browser has reported that the DLS can no longer be trusted

When attempting to link to an asset to read its description I received the following, in part:-

www.auran.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on 13/10/2013 10:59 AM. The current time is 13/10/2013 5:27 PM.

Dates and times are Australian Eastern Standard time.

Security breach possible ??

I got it just now (7.40 pm Brisbane Time) trying to register my ID number for my TRS10 edition. I am unsure about putting details onto a site whose security certificate isn't working correctly. Even if it is only a game ID number. Is it SAFE...REALLY?? Serious question.

Just did a download from the DLS as a test and got no error messages as regards 'expired certificate'

Using Firefox ver 24.0

Don't know if that little bit of info is useful to anybody.

Thank you for reporting this. I have sent an email to our admin for him to look into this. There should be no issue with accessing the pages (your browser will allow you to 'proceed'), however you can also access the details in Content Manager via the 'asset details' panel on the left side of the screen in Content Manager if you wish to avoid the DLS website till we have resolved this.

Just to make something clear. A SSL certificate does not make a site secure. That is done by using https:// in the URL. As long as you see that then the data you are entering is encrypted as it travels across the Internet. What the certificate does is to verify that website is in fact who it says it is. It does this by verifying that the domain name points to the proper IP address each time you go to that domain name. What has happened is the certificate has expired and the company that sold the certificate has turned off the process that does the verification until they get paid for a new certificate. As long as you are going to a bookmark for auran.com or typing it in then you are fine. If you are still scared use the IP address in your browser to get there.

In Chrome the https part of the url for Planet Auran is crossed out.
