I am looking for someone who loves switching operations to beta test a 7 day session that I have created for Maxwerk's Hoboken Shore Route. This will run only in TRS2010. This is a super detailed route so will need a high performance computer. There are an avareage of 90 cars each day to deliver to industries.
This session uses CMTM System2 which gives every car on the route a series of destinations. The destination data is displayed in a window on the left side of the screen when you click on a traincar. (The window is easily closed by simply pressing the esc key.) In this window is a list of all the cars in your train and their load status. The car on which the camera is focused will be displayed in bold.
This session requires you as driver to plan and impliment your switching moves. Are you up to the challenge?
A brief description and tips for operation:
Operations begin at 6:45 every morning.
The first task of the day is to get empties delivered to those industries that have requested them. The ECS (empty car storage) tracks are located at the south end of the main yard and on the north side of the Barge Dock yard.
A transfer run will arrive from Weehawken Yard every day at 7:00, 9:00 and 11:00. Monday thru Firday there is also one at 13:00. This transfer will drop off cars on Yard track 1 and pick-up car that are on yard track 2. These transfer trains run under AI control.
Cars usually arrive from Weehawken yard presorted by industry from north to south. The first string of cars for the day will usually include traffic for as far south as the Barge Dock Yard and the River Road team tracks.
There is no passing siding in the Bethlehem Drydock facility, so you have to have your train properly blocked before you leave the yard. Some cars must be in front if the engine, some in back.
Put outbound cars for Weehawken on yard track 2 before the arrival of the transfer runs from Weehawken. This track only holds 15 cars. When you have more, you can shove them on the back of the string after the Weehawken engine has turned and gone to the north end of the yard.
Industries Lipton Tea and Maxwell Coffee will load their outbound cars in 8 hours. When they are loaded, pull them and put them into a train and send it to Portal Weehawken. You can also include any cars that are outbound that were missed by the 13:00 turn and do not fit on the outbound track. The engine will return at 6:50 the next morning.
When you have completed all operations for the day, use Quickdrive to set the time to 23:59. Then wait for the clock to reach 24:01. By this time there should be a message on the board that states the new day. When this occurs, the new days Empty Car requirements are added to any Empty Car requirements from the previous day that were not met.
You can then set the clock to 6:45 and begin the next day‘s operations, which will be different because each days trains are different with a different variety of destinations.
If you think you have the switching skills to test this route, send me a PM.
