Bought new computer and downloaded the Trainz 2010 from Arun website. All went well with the setup till I clicked on the start button and got the message... ATIGKTXX.DLL problem...says not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Bad image. I redownloaded all and tried to run several times again but still get the same message. I am running Windows 7 and downloaded 2010 Engineers Edition. Any help?? thanks:'(

re

What drive are you installing it into????? If using Win 7 try using C:x86 this worked for me and be sure to run the program as an administrator right clicking the trainz shortcut and selecting properties there you will find that info

The clue is in the first three letters, you have an ATI card I bet? Head over to the AMD site. ;) Get some new drivers.

Well, it did not work :( I do have 2010 installed under C:\x86 and I am the administrator..uploaded the latest drivers but still get the same result. I am running on a 64 bit operation system, would this be the problem? Also, would the Uniblue Registry Booster program help or is it a scam? I do have Trainz 2009 working on this computer OK although it gives me the same error messages as 2010 but it works thru those and runs fine. Strange..thanks for any help... Roger

Hi Roger,

The UniBlue utility is okay. It will fix some things.

Regarding your video problem, go to Microsoft and download Directx 9. There is a 64-bit version of this version. It will coincide with your current Directx for your ATI card.

John

Well, all is well. I thought I had the latest vid drivers but did not. I downloaded them and that was the problem. Thanks for all the help. Roger
