Article: TS12 SP1 Hotfix 3 and Auto-patch Now Available

This whole update thing turned into one big Grizzly Bear... It took me 4 times and more hours then I care to think about to get the process done.. The hotfix update went quite well, but the sp1 update was a whole different animal. Please refer to my post on the sp1 patch.. I've been with Trainz from the beginning and I've always loved the program, glitches and all, but since auran turned this over N3V. There are still things I like to do with Trainz but for just plain fun I now use Railways 3, Train Simulator 2012.. It beats Trainz, hands down, for ease of operation, updates., scenario additions, the whole works, and it runs a lot better with fewer glitches.. Sorry N3V but with all the updates and all the patches Trainz 12 and all the other Trainz programs are just buggy as hell..

Regarding TS2012, are you sure on that one? From what I've gathered, it's actually harder to use especially when it comes to route making.

Regarding patching, I like to help those who do encounter patching problems through my tutorials and my posts on these forums.

For driving trains TS2012 is a very good option. For creating your own routes or an AI railway, Trainz is a very good option.

I agree whith you esostack, G44B

After an absence of not being able to install Trainz V12 until 2 days ago, this software is getting worse, things are supposed to be fixed,in due course, now about 95% of everything you install comes up with "Uniform Errors on the textures",I totally agree since N3V bailed out Auran,it has gotten worse and spending 48 hours to re-install everything is the joke of this millenium....

Why have introduced another method of compression textures in DDS, running in multiple threads on each core, removing hardware processing graphics card?
Please - Explain the logic of that action.

I think you need to explain what you're referring to there Termin. I'm having trouble understanding it (and I know that English is not your first language), however, I can use Google Translate if needed.

These patches are causing me so much grief!! Once installed, I discovered that all downloads made over the past year are rendered useless including payware. While TS 12 offers to re download all payware, when i click it, i get a message that they dont exist in the directory. I have contacted the help desk, while helpful with suggestions, none solved the problem. Any ideas folks???

in content manager almost all the rolling stock says faulty dependencies. can anyone tell me how to get the rolling stock back

Search for Faulty:True using the dropdown in the Search pane, then select the lot, right-click, and click View Errors and Warnings.

Is Settle and Carlisle finally closed? Since installing the last patch my registration has disappeared and none of the S&C routes or sessions work, yet there is no mention of errors in cmp. Is there an easy way to get them back or am I to discard them?

You will need to register the serial on Planet Auran and allow the game to download it the next time you launch the game after registering the serial.

Ok, after a clean install of ts12, and registering all my paid for serial numbers, I let trainz do it's thing. I have been unable to get Murchison to reinstall correctly. I have shut all other activity down while it tries to down load part 1 or part 2. I always get the corrupted data response. All other paid for items installed and are available. The patched program seems to run very well, but I sure would like to have Murchison back in operation. Any cures out there?

Will a patch be made for TRS2010 to fix the texture replacement rabbit hole problem? I would think there are quite a few Trainz users who are choosing to stay with T10 or who do not have T12 and would like to have this fixed.
Cheers Bill

I cannot see that happening at the moment, as N3V are concentrating most of their resources on TS12 by the seems of things.
