Article: TS12 SP1 Hotfix 2 now available.

request for a few more hot keys dear Pavlich

Thanks for fixing the hotkey in advance menu F3 and F4 to stay open (limited) switching between menus.
Now could you make that advance menu to stay open all the time or simple make it one large menu is the advance is more basic than you think!
If that is not possible can you provide me with a hot key that when switching int eh F3 menu between O and S that i can faster open the advance menu without clicking the mouse? Since i swirl a lot around the menus and submenus this is a real burden and delay for me.
If not clear what i say let me know....
The other big one is that in many instance the carriage return on properties or another setting little window menu the return only works with the mouse click n point not with sinple hit the "hotkey" return or enter. This is a big big delay and pain in the .... as when one edit properties etc you hit in a split second the return key but it takes handling and pointing 2-3 second before you get the pointer over the confirm button on the screen and hit...

Thanks for your time.

Roy

OK People, can someone tell me what folder to put all the updates in. I am not as smart as some and age near 60. Thanks. You can either leave a message here or if you like email me at : (email removed)

In terms of the .exe files (the patch installers) I'd normally save these to a folder on the desktop. During the patching process, it needs to be patching the folder where Trainz is installed to.

Shane

P.S. It's a very bad idea to post your email address in an area of the forum that anyone can view.

That's interesting to know. What about the internet connection - is that online whilst the patching takes place?

Shane
I have a permanently connected broadband connection via cable and a modem/router. Microsoft firewall did ask if I wanted to allow access and I gave permission. On subsequent attempts permission was, of course, already granted.
Hope this helps.

Other system info (in case it may be relavent)

Dell 7300 running an Intel quad core I7 running at 3.4Ghz and Windows 7 operating system

I also need to verify that the patch was running as administrator (basically, did you get a Yes/No box when you double-clicked the patch file?)

Shane

Give them time Termin. The amount of issues in the English version are many and may be why they haven't released any foreign versions yet.

Shane

Haha @Termin after seeing all the problems i'm glad germany got no Service Pack, it would have ruined my program lol :hehe: :p

Dear Santa, my wish for christmas is... plz make my trainz 12 run flawlessly on a 2.8 GB laptop, without any lag. (I mean do smth to improve framerates ) keyword.. framerate. Oh the SP1 succesfully installed after 6 hours, hotfix 1 kept 3 minutes, hotfix 2 still keep patching , in the fifth hours passed already. Thank you Santa .

Hello N3V,

I have to ask the question again - where are you at with a fix? MP is still a fiasco.

Please send an update in some fashion.

Thanks,
Razor01

Seems to work pretty good on my 2.8GB quadcore i7 two year old laptop. 8GB of RAM with 1 GB GDDR5 ATI HD5650 GPU.

Wow, that should make sense, mine is Intel core i7-7400M , 1.736Hz with boost can be run on 2.800 Hz , AMD Radeon HD 6370M memory 4GB , Win 7 . Maybe the double RAM of yours makes that pretty good run.. ( Should mention, that several simulators, racing, flying, 2012-2013 issue run well too, on my laptop, so the lag can (could) be reduced somehow in trainz 12. Still have to figure out the programmers how can improve framerates, if the CPU clocks at 1.7-2.8 GHz only. ( i.e there should be an option to manually choose features, speedtrees on/off , etc. )

The GPU you have could be the weak sauce in your combo meal there...

Does it resemble this one?

If so, 512mb GPU and probably not GDDR5, that is something to look at.

Shane I have tried everything, I attempted to patch as an administrator and got this message :

File error while reading patch data.
No valid patch operation was specified. Patching aborted.

So now what do I do. My trains 12 is in F drive and it is quite stable.:(
