Holder of a broom
We had an interesting case of graffiti this week which I should share with you.
Check out this picture:

Source article (in Dutch).

Since most of you are probably not known with our local railway companies, let me explain:
The main railway company in the Netherlands is the "Nederlandse Spoorwegen" (in English: Dutch railways), in short: the NS.
An this is an example of an (older) NS train:

.

On some lines another company, in this case Arriva, is handeling the passenger service.
This is an image of an Arriva train:

.

Now check that first image again.
Art, joke or just bad graffiti?

I guess someone or group made a statement since it is only one side. Also wonder if this really happened or photoshopped.

O, I'm convinced it aint photoshopped.

Pictures of different sources and angles:

Yeah... except that it aint photoshopped :o.

Here you find another article about it in a major Dutch newspaper.

Rough translation of that article:
Graffiti sprayers have sprayed a new train of transport company Arriva in the colors of an NS Intercity. The blue Arriva train stood in a yard in Zwolle and is defaced in the night of Monday to Tuesday.

Director Anne Hettinga of Arriva calls the perpetrators 'sick minds'. "This is a criminal act of sabotage," said Hettinga. The agency has 14 new trains ready which should be driving on December 9th.

According Hettinga is definitely two days, and at least 40,000 euros, to clean the train, as reported by the NOS on their website.

I ever win the lottery my first vacation will be into Union Pacific facilities with tank car loads of green and yellow paint, and a boxcar full of Chicago & NorthWestern decals. That "merger" was actually a takeover, UP ate my favorite railroad! :'(

That's awesome.

Someone should do that here and replace the Pan Am Railways colors with the old B&M and MEC again, and get rid of the awful Guilford grey and orange units still hanging around.

@Sniper - I agree. That was done in spite to wipe out a competitor.

John
