Armored trains...oh my!

A while back, as part of a discussion on another game which I tested, we brought up the subject of armored trains. Bounced the idea around some and didn't think much about it. Though I did write up a really detailed post about the BP42 type train.

Well the CBT (Closed Beta Test) went quite well, and then closed about a month ago to be rebuilt.

I got this message today. BP42...incoming.

Struck me odd until I found that the game in question...a WW2 simulation, has added a curious note to their update.

quote : "a map involving the armored trains should be seen"

I'll post more details as I have them, but I remember the GM's and Devs saying they would LOVE to see these things player controlled....

You should take a look at wwiionline I have some static scenery models in there, am trying to get some of my real WWII locos accepted by them

I found some pictures of the Soviet military trains - impressive machines!

Our army doesn't even have tanks But our railway company does own some of these in case of emergency. For what exactly I don't know.

What other impressive military trains were there in the world?
