Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, 4th August 2013. Bit of a thread hijack but why is my enter button not working on these forums anymore? It works fine everywhere else, but it just will not work here. Oh and boc61; that signal tower must be the ugliest railway-related building I have ever seen, it reminds me of the Death Star from Star Wars!

I have no answer about your question, but this picture really intrested me! It really looked like an old Swedish steam loco, and so it was! Many thanks for this picture. Here is another Swedish loco, but an not that old.

Jämtland is really beautiful on the winter! :) I really like these pictures.

jetekol: Thanks for your interest! It is a Swedish Railways B Class, which I think was built in 1908. There are two in the UK, the other is at the Nene Valley Railway. The B Class in my photo is under restoration to working condition, when this work is completed, it will enter regular service on the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway.

Buried Treasure

Friends, whilst looking for something else, I found something that I thought was lost, permanently. Specifically, I found media containing several hundred railroad pictures dating from 2007 to 2010. I'm about 2/3 of the way done with uploading these to my albums at

Even though these are older shots, they include equipment which had not yet been submitted to the site, including a number of tank cars (high pressure CO2 cars) and covered hoppers. So as not to be a space hog on the site, I've reduced the sizes of the images posted to the website. Anyone wishing to use images for reskinning purposes can send me a pm or an email, as I may have better images for that purpose. Then again, in some cases, I don't.

The first three are from the Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC. Then is one from the N&W Green Cove station in Virginia. The last one is from the New Hope Valley Railway in Bonsal, NC.
