Just as an experiment on your PC, you could go into the Volvo's folder and shrink the big image file to 512x512 pixel which will reduce it from 3MB to 769kB and see what that does.

I've used the volvo as road traffic on my test layout and don't see any stutters myself, but every system is different I suppose...

no hassles at all with it

4 volvos resized and still no extra shudder

i resized the lightbar the same way and it still looks good
no extra shudders with it this way either

I love Volvos. My first car was an 840 turbo. (the precurser to the V70.) My parents actually just bought a V70.

That was an interesting experiment then. Just realise the only reason it had such a big texture file to begin with was that it was a still shot captured from a video and it was really low resolution. Even at 1024x1024 (3MB) it still looks like crap to me, but Caddylars wanted it, so it got published. Now it's coming back to bite me! I should really learn to say no to people who only supply me with fuzzy pictures when requesting assets.
