Anybody know about the History of The Blue Comet?

Wonderfully Old Fashioned
I don't know about you, but i find it a mystery, bit like the Stig on Top Gear :P, very little detail.

It looks wonderful, but just one question, whatever happened to it and who owned it and stuff?

I'm just curious... :)

The Blue Comet service ended in 1941. The coaches and locos assigned to the service were probably re-used elsewhere, but to my knowledge only one Observation car remains from the original Blue Comet.

All three Observations cars have survived and are in various places in New Jersey. 2 are awaiting restoration and one is part of a restaurant, The Clinton Station Diner, not far from where I live. Great food by the way, highly recommended.

I may live in the UK, but I say that's great news. A great piece of history not forgotten, that's the way I like it! :D
