updated...can't seem to get rid of the thin orange and white strip at the rear of the nose where it meets with the cab or the orange strip at the corner of the box next to the nose
without knowing how the map is set up; my suggestion is to try an move the textures on the front of the nose over (or shrink them) a bit. My guess would be only a pixel or two. As for the bx; I don't have a clue without seeing the model and texture map.
yeah i tried that, when i do it makes it uneven on the other side. its stumping me. if anyone wants to take a crack at it i'd be grateful! Just let me know and i'll email it.

I don't have the time right now due to mid-terms and a piano performance audition coming up, but have you tried magnifying the areas in question on the bitmap map?
