Another Hog issue

I am making a map using Hog. After I put it through the process of making the map, i view it in TS2009 and it comes up missing many chunks of the map(around 10 miles worth in one section). Any Idea why this is happening? Ive tried several different times and I still have the same problem. :'(

Are you using TIGER data for the overlay? If so, are you certain that the TIGER data image shows the rail line continuous over the entire route? HOG filters baseboards by the presence or absence of the 'teal' coloured line. No teal line = no baseboard...

Andy :)

yep teals all there but its only coming out in certain places after HOG. I checked the colors to make sure ll of it is teal and it is.

Not that then...

What was the source of your DEM data? If it was quads, were they all the same resolution?

It looks like it is just you and me, and I am getting to grasping-at-straws stage!

Is it a big route? If it is, I assume you merged the quads in MicroDem? I have had strange issues merging more than half a dozen quads at a time. On a big route I have to make several small merges, then progressively merge those small merges into larger DEMs, them merge those etc etc....

EDIT I just realized the original post above might be ambiguous - the re-merging is progressively larger DEM's being merged in Microdem - NOT - a sequence of little routes getting merged in Trainz. I have altered the original post to be more succinct. :)

The thing about it that is pissing me off the most is that I'm making a map of the Adirondack Scenic Railroad from Utica to Old forge. One the first 25 or so miles, they run on a freight railroad. Then branch off onto their own track. For some reason, the entire freight line shows up EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO DEM DATA but the line I care about is in tiny bits and pieces and is missing almost all of the section I need. Im mainly trying to make this so I can get used to the territory cause I'm gonna be a student conductor in the spring.
