Amtrak locomotive identification

ok this is a question for anyone who knows amtrak better than me.
What is the technical name for this locomotive?

I've only heard it referred to as a "critter locomotive" but never a technical specification.
I'd like to find one on the DLS to do halfway proto yard jobs (p42's just don't look right moving cars around by themselves :hehe:) but I don't know the name to find it.
Any info on the locomotive would be helpful.

thanks,
Alex

I think that is a General Electric 60 Ton diesel electric locomotive switching locomotive. It is former United States Air Force GE 60 Tonner #11. It's currently based at Amtrak's BEE Shops near Sacramento, California (I think that's the city the shops are near or in.) I don't think it's on the DLS. But, here's another photo of it.

There is not a BEE shop near Sacramento, There is the Oakland shop's that may be what you are thinking of. No big deal I'm not here to rub it in your face that you are wrong, just a correction sir:D I have no idea if it is in Oakland or not...

hmm I may see about repainting a 44 tonner (no 60's on the DLS) to IV (? the new scheme) colors and If I can find it, a Turboliner to the RTL-III "acela" scheme

Justin is right those shots are definitely Beech Grove,IN for sure seen that unit quite a few times going through there.

there are several "tonner" models:

23
25
35
44
45
50
55
60
65
70
80
85
86
100
110
125
132

44-65 can look relatively the same but they dont always. i dont think any 70s were center cab. 80-110 can be very similar looking. then 125 and 132s look similar.
