Is the articulated EMU really that new? I thought Japan had them for decades.
This is faster then the Japanese trains. Almost as fast as the new Fastech 365 Shinkansen.
And Alsthom have been making articulated trainsets for years too...
I think the innovation is that this is the first time articulation has been combined with distributed power (if you read very carefully, I think that's what it says).
