Advertising?

I have discovered that Internet Explorer 8 has the built-in ability to block ads, using the feature called InPrivate Filtering. Uing this, I have managed to block the ads on these forums. The ads are replaced with blank white squares. I think that I will turn it back off, though, until I see another inappropriate ad like the one that I mentioned earlier in this thread. ;) I believe that I have gotten used to the ads being here on the forums by now. ;)

Regards,

Retro.

I now get fairly regularly a popup which informs me "Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting". Often, but not always, the advert window only has a # in it, so I assume there is some problem with the links in the adverts. Let's hope this doesn't lead to any nasty problem.

LOL, the advertising that showed for me was: Worried about losing Customers?
Sounds like someone would say that to Auran, but would finish with what H222 said.

Sadly, Google has a political agenda here in the states of pushing big government and Democrats.

G'day,

ROFL, I reckon you have a great future ahead of you in comedy.:hehe:
I nearly wet myself laughing when I read that.
I bet you check under the bed every night for commies before going to sleep.:D
I think the only agenda that Google has is to make as much money as possible, and put up adds, regardless who pays for them.

Have a good one,
E.C.
