Adding Flange Curve Squeal to layout

Morning Y'all,

I just downloaded BNSF50's Flange Curve Squeal (<kuid:39134:102473>) from the DLS and I was wondering if anyone knew how to install this sound onto the TRS 2006 system or onto a layout.
It is a truly realistic sound and would like to use it on my layouts.
Thanks,
Claude

So, here is something interesting: Sometime ago I downloaded some tracks from Ocemy (Chinese made but very realistic including the cicketi clack of wheels over rail joints). Somehow this desirable wheel noise is now into all my tracks! even if they are not Ocemy. But when you add the flange producing tracks.. the clicketi noise disappears! Is there a way to maintain one noise over the other?

I would guess that the clickety clack is a deault noise if there is no other track noise, but when the flange squeal noise is detected, it decides there is no need for the default. To remedy it i would suggest (if it is just the 'curve' track) adding an extra sound in the config file.
just a thought.

Hi All : Just as a suggestion you might want to download RTS track which has build in track sounds..A good part is, you can use a small strip, lets say in your yard some place..It will carry out through out your whole layout..

Do you know the kuid number for this track?

Thanks

Puffingbilly: I'm going to give you the Track sound Kuid 59940:20879 by razvan100..It seems to me if I remember it correctly, it comes in a Track Pack..You will have to google it to find out where it is..I don't have the link..
