A Perfect Summer (Large Pics)

This morning when we got up we heard some chatter on the scanner....We listened in on it and we could pick up something that a schnabel train was coming into town to pick up a WC pilot crew...We ran and got our gear and headed to the depot in town
When we got there we see that the train has already beat us to the depot and has the WC crew member on board already


They wasted no time sitting at the depot as they took off....And so did we....Our next spot we caught him was him crossing the ELS diamond


We then quick went over to Quad Graphics to see if there was some switching going on and hoping to catch them switching out the plant...Well once again our luck didnt happen as it looks as though they have already switched it out today...Well there is always next time

Nice shots. The WC #7507 looks great with all the dirt on it.

Is this route Cozmo's Perfect Summer route that he somehow salvaged after the computer crash or is it another route? Either way, it's a great looking route. Good to see ELS as well.

Thanks....And yes...This is his APS route that he is adding onto....Keep an eye out for more pix coming soon your way :cool:
 
Today we seen something unusual happen with the CN....Todays power consisted of 3 IC units....A SD40-2 a SD70 and a SD40-2....We seen the power sitting on the service tracks but the signs kept us out for getting a closer look at them

The 3 units come to life as they power up to head to the yard to pick up todays train as they pass the depot

Now with there train already to haed out of the yard...The crew gets permission to leave and come out onto the main

As the train pulls hard to get the cars rolling we see yet again another sign that keeps us off the property....Boy they got signs all over the place

Now this is the strange part....Here the train slows down to cross over the diamond of the ELS

And then he takes the leg of the connection track to head down the ELS tracks

As he rolls down the ELS tracks doing a top speed of 15MPH due to there bad tracks he ducks under this cool looking bridge

As the train rolls on down the line...He hits a switch and heads up a branch line

With the IC train climbing up the steep grade we also take note that the ELS tracks down here lead to the new mill that the ELS just opened up

With the train heading over the other set of ELS tracks...We then knew what he was doing....He was setting these cars out for the mill thats down under the bridge where these will get unloaded and then loaded again with paper

After the train cut its cars...He then went back towards the yard and tied up for the day......

Oh no! They is it payware ahhhh!!!!! (Dang):hehe: Plus, what!? I didn't know that LOL:o :hehe: so that's why everyone should tell me about this, LOL...
 
Well today was not a good day to RR fan as it was storming out pretty good....We had to go up town to do a lil shopping so on the way up we took a lil spin past the yard and when we got there we seen todays coal train waiting for a crew...Yeah theres the sign again...ugh

WOW...NOW THAT WAS TO CLOSE FOR COMFORT!!!!! After this shot of lightning we said that was enough and went back in the car and shot some from there

We then shot 2 more from inside the car


We then thought this shot would be pretty cool to shoot from by the bridge

 
Lookin really sweet I like the mix of grass and shrubs kindda hinting combo spline and fixed object.......
