Earlier today (Wednesday), the Trainz Resources Directory received its 10,000th visitor since it went online at the end of March this year. Between them, they managed to view 190,000 listings, or an average of 19 listings per person.
For a web site devoted to a very small niche market such as Trainz, I think the figures are outstanding! I've had my knockers but I also have a few loyal supporters who I can actually count on two hands. They alone have given me the incentive to go on, and they alone have made the project worthwhile.
A web site like the Directory doesn't come easily. I work on it at least 30 hours a week and actually pay for the privilege of sharing it with you. As such, I must also thank the dozen or so people who have clicked on an ad and contributed $12.50 towards its survival. I'm not joking, I really do appreciate your support.
Although I'm currently working on other projects, I'll continue to maintain the Directory for the benefit of "most" Trainz enthusiasts.
