Hi all!
As you may know, this saturday is National Train Day. Unforunately, I cannot make it to Chicago, but I can make it to Battle Creek (and possibly Indiana). I know Amtrak's newly aquired Michigan Line joins up with the CN South Bend Subdivision just before the Amtrak Station. How many trains will I be able to see through there on a Saturday?
Also, concerning another question; What about South Bend and Elkhart? Which would I have a better chance of seeing trains, and how many? I know NS has a locomotive shop in Elkhart, and that NS and CN both have yards in South Bend. What are some good areas down there, if its worth going down there at all?
