  • The new Paint 3D Preview app makes it easy to create 3D objects from scratch or modify a creation. Easily change colours, textures and materials, or with just a click, turn a 2D picture into a 3D object. When you're ready, share or print in 3D. Get setup instructions here.***

I saw the same and was a bit intrigued. But it would mean installing one of the Insider versions and I'm not sure I'm that desperate to try it out. :D

Maybe I'll wait until the release version comes along. If that program has an FBX exporter then it would be useful.

I've seen a preview and it's only a very basic "3D effects" generator e.g. 3D letters, numbers etc., nothing to get excited about! If the OP is thinking of using it to make models then I think he'll be struggling.

Rob.

I only saw the mail from Microsoft last night but had time before bed to give Paint 3D a go. I agree with Robd, preview or not, it is quite basic but then I guess the name should have given that away, 'Paint'. Peter

Oh well. I was going to wait with baited breath for the release. Now I think I'll just go back to sleep. The use of the word "Paint" should have given me a clue. I must be getting "old", relatively that is.
