2009 Route Building Competion.

Hello Woody

This is getting a bit confusing. No offense intended of course. :) Initially I thought this was a 2009 calendar year competition, but now it is sounding as a TRS 2009 competition. Either is fine but which is it? Could you please clarify for the Trainzers?

Cheers

AJ

I would appreciate it if this thread was locked and a new thread started with the logo and ALL the rules, regulations, categories ETC...

This is too confusing.

Well, I've just had a read through, and it seems all the information is on the first page and is pretty clear. The "stream of consciousness" stuff starts later on when people start posting questions.

I commend Woodman for his idea, and his enthusiasm. Perhaps he will want to close this thread, take a little time to think the presentation over, and then post again when he has it all nailed down, but that's his call to make.

Please read the first post only.
Questions from Trainzers will be answered however they are not the full instructions, refer to post #1.

I agree with Ed. Maybe collect a few more ideas and suggestions and start fresh. And enthusiasm?.. Woody may be the most enthusiastic trainzer ever, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I'd like to submit my City & Country rebuild; however it is not completely my work. Just about every scenery item has been "upgraded" by me; But with a few minor exceptions; the track layout is the same (new track, goes the same place as the old) and the terrain is the same. If you don't think that classifies; I'd happily judge or do some other item to help out.

Maybe write a small .doc file and post it to the first post as a sorta like flyer for people to have so they don't have to burrow their way through here?

It looks like it's just a Trainz layout and we're in 2009 ;)

Hey Everybody,
I am back now and will resume thread duties as planned.
If you have any questions for the contest, please feel more than welcome to Private Message me!:)

Cheers,
Woody

We will need screenshots fairly soon.
Please remember that the route does not have to be done to enter a screenshot.
However the route must be at least 90% done by the deadline.

Having screenshots that represent your progress will help us determine how good you are at building the route.

If you have any questions, please feel free to Private Message me.

Cheers,
Woody:)

Notice,
You will need to send the same five screenshots to all judges by July 1st, this will begin the monthly process of sending 5 different screenshots to all judges each month.
When sending screenshots, make a multi-member private message with 5 screenshots.
The next month do the same, however the 5 shots must be different than the previous five.

Thank You,
Contest Crew.

I did enter but cant get any screenshots by july 1st being 90% complete. i mean i spend alot of time on computers, except my new one aint arrived yet so it aint even started, GL to all anyhow.

I'll join. I know I won't win, but I'm pretty good at placing tracking cameras, and anyway, it's worth a shot. Mine's simply called '24 lakeside railway'.
