The hush hush was cute (in my opinion), and of course more silent than travelling on a jet engine. Imagine being a passenger on these :O

By the way, it was stated that the hush hush later got the design of an A4 (the same as a Mallard) and that one is pretty elegant...
 
Bwwwwwr Rill_i_ant' Idear': Trains, Planes ... and a facefull of ballast, grit and debris ... comming your way.

(With it's jet engine back blast, it really did kick up, and shower pedestrian onlookers, with all kinds of ballast, grit and debris), (Not to mention the jet blasted noise). :hehe:

It's great they toke the engines from old aircraft and put them on a railcar, that way they got preserved :)

But the Soviet jet train wasn't very fast, only 186 mph. And was based on this ER22 in the picture below:



But later rebuilt to be like this:














Sorry for bad quality, but the cameras in the USSR at the 70s weren't the best. At least it explains this little jet train :)

No, it's just another USSR attempt. There were even talks about jet trucks and buses. But none ever saw service. I have not heard about a jet boat though.

I am not sure if the ship on the picture exists, but. There was another USSR jet ship here (engines are from a Tu-134 and the ship travelled around 60 mph). Experimental again and who actually saw service:

What a great thing to do... Throw the trains to the sea, must be good for the enviromenment... Seriously I can't understand.

By the way I'm so happy Moscow Metro is beautiful and has beautiful trains compared to New York

Nvidea? Really :':)confused::eek::( Besides the cab, that was a carpy job they did with the steam pipes for the front engine. When did a Mallet ever have different valvegear timings for each engine?

If this is how they build their graphics cards, I'm swapping to AMD real fast....

I bet that all weather wooden cab, is nice & toasty inside ... the bay window need a womans touch ... ie: curtains & flowers. :hehe:
 
What game is that engine on?

I dont think it needs them (especially since it's just a game), I have curtains in my real life cab and the passengers at the station always think it's funny. I don't want to remove them as it helps against the sunshine.

Don't think it is part of any game, PROBABLY just something that Nvidea cooked up to promote it's cards for "high-detail rendering". Pretty poor attention to locomotive details if you ask me! To find the scource, check the edit tag on my last post. Search it yourself!
 
I saw that, I think that locomotive is fictional since I haven't seen anything of it's kind. The loco details are pretty disturbing but, if that was a simulator I bet it would beat out booth Trainz and Railworks :)
