I have a high end computer as well and think these shots are fantastic. I love the detail of the railyard (with the tree in the middle). What kind of track is that? I like the way the clean blends in perfectly with the rusty.

Thanks. I'm not sure which picture you're referring to. I used, and changed track a lot throughout the route. Mind referencing a post number, and I'll let you know the kuid of the track used.

Why not try implementing DEM terrains and TIGER lines using the HOG utility (if you're familiar with that)? I find it to be a very useful tool for prototypical route building.

I considered that, but I have no clue how to create them and I also wouldn't know what locale to use. Also 90% of the track and base boards have been laid on the route, so it's too late to add any DEM maps anyway.

On future routes I plan on using DEM's exclusivly. I just need to figure out where and how to get them
