Longtime user, been absent for a while...

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I don't have a clue how to do that. A search turned up nothing on that subject. In the past, all my purchased versions appeared automatically in the forums. I think Trainz may have gone to a dark complicated place in the 3 years that I have been gone...

Longtime user, been absent for a while...

Hello all: I started with the old Trainz in 2001. I have purchased many versions over the years and mostly enjoyed the experience. At least it forced me to purchase newer and newer computers to keep up. 😂 I have Tane, TRS2019 and TRS2022 installed at the present time. When trying to run newer...

    Is "fog density" adjustable ?

I can't seem to find the "fog density" setting as in previous versions. Thanks

Multiple industry only loads once !?!?

Hello all: I have a route setup with three multi-industry basic to supply one powerstation. I set the commodities to consume at 0. All commodities, with the exception of coal, to produce at 0. Coal is set to produce maximum. The coal trains will load the first time but will not load on...

    HUD for miles driven, etc.

Hello all: I've been gone for a while and just bought TRS19. Seems like I remember an HUD in previous versions that displayed miles driven and distance to next signal showing it's status. I see the gradient and signals now in the lower left of the screen. While that is somewhat helpful I don't...

    Recommended routes for TRS19 ?

Anyone want to go out on a limb and recommend routes specifically for TRS2019. Not big routes...my MAC and / or PC don't handle big routes too well.:o Thanks in advance, Durff

    Game Clock setting ?

Hello all: Just got TRS19 ( Feb 2021) I am not finding any way to set or reset the "Game clock". A search in the "Help" and the forums only turned up something about a rule. It seems silly to have to go to an outside source just to set the clock. Bottom line is... I don't like driving at night...

Here's another fine mess I've gotten myself into....

In preparation for the upcoming SP2 update, I was copying some folders to my unused K drive. The version (84204) of TANE I currently use is on my J drive ( SSD ). When I navigated over to it, I found that it did not look right. The TANE version that I am currently using ( Build 84204 ) seems...

Denver & Rio Grande Western... missing assets ?

Hello All: I am using TANE Build 84352. I did a DLS search for routes that were not out of date and had a minimum build of 3.5 (IIRC ) I downloaded the Denver & Rio Grande Western Moffat Subdivision ver 1.5, 1.8, & 2.2. The route appears, but is missing several assets... including the main...

merge map no longer zooms in or out?

TANE build 84352: When merging, the merge map view no longer has "zoom" feature. How is one supposed to tell where the heck they are? and where they want the merge point to be?

Route builders: when uploading, please add some info....

I am a big fan of merging smaller routes to create workable larger routes. To those route builders who have spent countless hours building nice looking routes I will be eternally grateful. One of my pet peeves is that many routes uploaded to the DLS have little or NO info about the route. I...

    A general observation about routes...

Hello all: I have been using Trainz for over 10 years. Over that time I have downloaded many routes. I see all skill levels represented in the routes... from beginner to pro. I understand that some routes may be purpose built to look like tabletop model train "layouts". But for the larger, more...

Suggestion for route builders.... long overdue.

If a route is up-loaded to the DLS, I suggest the description should, at a very minimum, include information about the size of the route. This could be expressed in total number of baseboards, miles of track or file size in MB. This information would help those of us who don't necessarily want a...
