A pair of F units are ready to depart Windber from the now defunct Country Club Mine. The spur to the mine comes off of the tail track of the Windber wye.
An empty coal train moves toward the mines near Allendale, PA on the now abandoned Beaver Secondary. As was standard on the South Fork Secondary and connected branches during the early Conrail era, 6 GP38-2's provided the motive power.
A Windber local is dropping downgrade into Mine 40 on the approach to Paint Junction. At the junction, he will leave the South Fork Secondary Track and enter the Windber Industrial Track and head into downtown to Glosser Brothers to deliver a cut of boxcars full of goods for the warehouse.
