Portals not working in certain routes?

I have EK3 and that Italian route (the one built in to the world edition) installed in TRS19 SP1 and whenever I drive to the portals with a train the train doesn't seem to even disappear into the portal like it would, it just continues to drive through (or with a navigate to command, stops), yet with this Horseshoe Curve Module and UMR2020, portals work perfectly fine
